Mod Version: V1.3
Please consider rating this if you like it! It really helps out.
Originally made for: Version 1.7.6
*EXISTING SAVES: LET THIS RUN FOR A WEEK BEFORE LOOKING AT YOUR BUILDINGS.

This mod is a complete overhaul of the Food Industries building, with the goals of having sensible and dynamic production options that are profitable, while also being maximally compatible with other mods.

Among other things, the distillery options are actually profitable most of the time - but you can benefit from alternative production methods in their place.

This should be compatible with almost anything other than major alternative food reworks. It is dynamic enough to work with alternative pop needs mods.
It is compatible with VTM etc.

Incompatible with:
  • "Surf And Turf"
  • "More Meat Variety"
  • "Industry Expanded"
  • "Industry Realism"
  • "Canned Fruit"

Can you add <insert language> localisation?
If you send it to me I will add it.

How does this compare to Surf and Turf?
Compared to Surf and Turf it gives more opportunities to use sugar and fruit, and sets up the liquor production lines to be more useful.
It's a little more complex than surf and turf, but the AI uses this one better (I think).
Also S&T doesn't really change the end-game profitability of Food Industries, and they struggle end game - this slightly improves their end-game profitability.

I dont see any issue with this rn for 1.9
MasterOfGrey  [author] 29 May @ 5:05am
So, 1.9 is right around the corner and I am excited to spend a chunk of time on modding and playing it. I've also just finished up with a very busy time in my life, and part of that is that I am currently unemployed.

So, since I have no job and I'm about to spend a chunk of time on modding when the update drops, I have now set up a Patreon on the off chance anyone would like to support me with a couple dollars. Link [patreon.com]

I will of course keep modding either way, but I would appreciate anything at all that people might be willing to send my way.

Hello Grey, your mods are really amazing, so I’ve localized some of them for Vietnamese players to help them better access your mods. Would you mind adding this to the description?

I have thought about it but it's pretty low on the list, and I'm not sure how you could do it fairly without also buffing oil plants when they come along.

Have you considered doing an overall whaling re-balance? One thing that I find odd about the vanilla game economy is that whale oil is useless in the early game, when in reality whale oil dominated the lamp oil market until mineral oils like kerosene became profitable in the early 1850s.

I think it's low productivity also overproduction make it lower productivity even
