JSGaming - Tiered ShipGrinders V2

Description
JSGaming Tiered Blocks
The main focus of my "Tiered Blocks" is to create a single stronger blocks that can replace multiple vanilla blocks.
With this approach players need to build less blocks wich will improve game and server performance.

As an example: A tier 4 block is worth 16 vanilla blocks but you only have to build 1 block and there is only 1 functioning. It also prevents the need of building big.

A lot of attention has been paid to maintaining balance between tiered and vanilla blocks.
Custom components have been added for progression.

In case of DLC blocks:
Tiered DLC Blocks stay locked behind the DLC. If this mod includes DLC blocks, you need to "OWN" the DLC to use them. I am not unlocking these blocks for everyone.
As far as im aware, not owning the DLC shouldnt prevent you from using this mod for just the base game blocks.

Tier Multipliers & Settings:
 • BuildTimeSeconds: 1.5
 • PCU: 1.75
 • Components: 1.5

A hinge, piston, rotor will turn the extension grid into a subgrid. A child grid of the main grid. By vanilla mechanics grinders do not grind their own grid. When you place it on a subgrid, the master grid is not its own grid so it will be grinded.

With vanilla ranges you don’t get into this problem that easy. With modded ranges you do.
It should not grind its own grid
I think this must be it, I had it mounted on a swing arm to make a grinder version of a crane. So it was attached at the end of a piston, which was on a Hinge / Rotor setup.

I will try it again and see what the results are, thank you!

Make sure there is no subgrid within range of the grind area. It’s a vanilla mechanic to grind subgrids. It should not grind its own grid.

Follow up: The simplest way to see where the "work areas" for your tools are is to use a mod called "BuildView". It has a togglable overlay view that displays tool work area.

Also, your other mods like Tiered Gyros, Tiered Thrusters, Tiered Batteries, and Tiered Wind Turbines, all work AMAZING. Thank you for your hard work.

The Tiered Ship Grinder Tool has a "work area" that is centered on the tool head itself. This means that at Tier 4 the area is so large it can grind off IT'S OWN MOUNTING POINTS.
