The AbramsX is a technology demonstrator and a private venture by General Dynamics Land Systems. The main idea behind this demonstrator is maintaining or improving the current Abrams protection levels while reducing the vehicle's weight, Instead of a manned turret, the vehicle is fitted with an unmanned combat module and the entire crew (reduced to three men) sits in the front in an armored capsule. This of course means its gun is automatically loaded from a bustle-mounted ammo rack and featuring all the latest and greatest in technological advancements to date.

The AbramsX or as designated by NATO (M3A1 Knight) is NATOs response to the latest tank brought to service by CSAT, the T140 Angara.


Mod Description
Quiggs's Addon Vehicles is a series of mods which contain a family of vehicles bringing several variants in one convenient mod The idea is to add more unique vehicles to the game for players to choose from when building factions for operations, without having to subscribe to multiple mods, the vehicles are intended to fit into the vanilla 2035 lore setting of Arma as well as factions contained within CUP and the Community Factions Project (CFP).

  • - 120mm cannon with a 4 second auto-loader capable of firing APFSDS, HEAT and ATGMs, with a .338 SIG MG338 Coax
  • - 30mm auto-cannon with HEDP ammo for the Commander
  • - laser marker for commander to guide munitions to target, with live missile camera feed
  • - Realistic weapon names and ammo types
  • - Animated suspension
  • - Tank PhysX integration
  • - Vanilla themed camo
  • - 3 man crew
  • - Advanced sensor suite in the form of an RWR & LWS, including missile incoming alert and directional indicator
  • - Advanced ballistic computer that automatically adjusts whilst locked onto target
  • - JSRS compatibility (Highly recommended)
  • - CUP vehicles compatibility

  • - Add drone/UAV integration for launching guided or loitering munitions
  • - IronVision System HUD (once Merkavas variant done)
  • - Electric mode where you can switch the diesel engine off allowing sneaky manoeuvres on limited power.

The driver view using the drone HUD is a little odd, especially that it adds chromatic aberration to the view which is not pleasant for any long term driving.

Love that this mod exists, are there plans to create a TUSK variant that keeps the classic turret?

the colours on the three colour woodland variant seem to be very washed out and light. they don't match with other vehicles of similar colour from other projects. the Mack APC from expeditionary force could be a useful reference. also for my own projects i use HTML 505543 (Federal Green) 5c4d44 (Federal brown) and 383838 (Federal Black) for 3 colour woodland. they may be more accurate to the real deal and may help the AbramsX look even cooler.

I was delighted with the mod for the futuristic project, ABX. I tested it, and the only visible flaw is the textures and model when damaged and completely destroyed.
The mod will serve as reference content in future companies.

Hey Quiggs! I'm looking to update the Vanilla Leo 2A4 to the Leo 2 A-RC 3.0, and was wondering if you might be willing to provide any sort of help or tips with this, as your mod gave me the idea to implement something similar in my own faction mod.

i dunno if its something on my end or not but the fuel just drains for no apparent reason. its the same deal with the Merkava as well. maybe im doing something wrong?

I would love to make an interior for this, but with many projects its not feasible, however once A3 data packs become available, this will probably get a modified version of the Angaras interior!

There is no longer a damage model, config has been changed to accommodate damage textures
