Nanu's High Elf Tweaks

Description
This mod is the first in a collection of personal mods I've made and used for years but never posted. It adds a few units and changes to the High Elves.

New Units
  • Phoenix Champions - Elite sword and shield unit. Sturdy frontline that will hold against nearly anything. Balanced to trade evenly with Chosen (Axe and Shield)
  • Riders of Avelorn - Elite skirmish cavalry. Armor piercing ranged attacks, anti large melee.
  • Eagle Riders of Avelorn - Monstrous flying skirmish cavalry with armor piercing ranged attacks
  • Eagle Knights - Anti Large flying cavalry. Glass cannon monster and cavalry killers
  • Griffon Knights - Elite flying cavalry. Terror causing damage dealers.

New Lords

Dragon Prince

The Dragon Prince is a heavily armored duelist that can wade through swathes of infantry and cut down enemy lords and heroes.
  • Anti Infantry
  • Has access to all 3 types of dragons at an earlier level than other lords

Warden

The Warden is an expert defender and excels at defensive battles, carrying a spear and shield into battle and fighting from the front.
  • Anti Large
  • Has access to White Lion Chariot, Griffon, Moon Dragon, and Star Dragon


Updates to Vanilla Units

  • Archers (Light Armor) have been reworked into High Elf Warriors, with increased melee stats, anti infantry, and reduced range.
  • Sisters of Avelorn are now spear and bow infantry, they have bonus vs large attacks
  • Great Eagles are now a group of 4 instead of a single entity
  • Treemen now have the Entangle ability, as well as a new Uproot ability that creates a dwellers below vortex around it while it gets resistances, heals, and cannot move.

Updates to Skill Trees
Dedications have been reworked. Each generic lord type (excluding arch mages) can now dedicate to one of two options, with a new skill tree opening up afterwards to benefit their military force.

@Cynn its not the skills. Battle UI for spells is determined by special ability groups. I add to Alarielles default vanilla group, but thats it. I'm not going to debug another mod but I assume if they're giving her other lores and taking away her special combined group then they're data coring which is something they should not be doing and will absolutely break any other mod that touches those tables (this one included)

The only mods I use that do anything with skills are the previously mentioned Expanded spells, Liu's Ultimate Spells, one that makes her Sisters of Avelorn buffs faction wide, and the lord specific double skill points + dump mods.

The abilities show up under her spells section, but I can't switch between the different lores as the arrows are missing. The problem goes away if I revert to a save before I added this mod, but re-appears if I add it back, and load order doesn't seem to make a difference, it's not a huge deal but I figured it might be worth letting you know about it.

@Cynn Not sure why this would happen. I do edit Alarielle's special ability group but that shouldn't affect other mods unless that mod is data coring which is a big no no

Seems incompatible with "Alarielle - expanded spells", she just gets stuck on lore of light spells. Sadge

@Daverin2112 Sounds like a mod incompatibility. Run just this mod and you'll see them
