This is a rework of my orginal base fortifications mod. It offers better models, mechanics and gameplay experience than my previous one. It is centered around a realistic feel while balancing gameplay based on feedback on my old mod.

This mod was created with the help of CanadianSniper who made it possible to have incredible models with vanilla textures that fit on them, to keep that vanilla feel and experience.

As per usual, it is not allowed to repackage this mod without my permission.


*About The Mod*


This mod offers a base building option for both single players as well as groups. In both cases, gathering ressources for your base will be challenging (but much more enjoyable than my previous mod). With these changes, you no longer need to be part of a group to enjoy base building.

It also offers new interesting mechanics like humans, zombies and animals getting hurt when entering in contact with any spikes you see on the models. If it looks dangerous, stay away! It makes for some very interesting PVE and roleplay experience.

The mod also uses randomness a lot. The health and quality of the tools you use to gather ressources will mather. If your handsaw is damaged, you will get less ressources than if it was pristine. This applies to damages to your character as well. Entering in contact with a spike could create a slight bleed just as much as it could break your legs and put you in real danger.

The building process is much simpler on this mod, as every item has it`s own metarial slots. If you don`t know how many logs it takes to build a frame, reffer to the amount of items in total (0/3 logs means it requires 3 logs). The quantity of items needed is always equal to the amount shown in the slot.

The mechanics of this mod have been made aroud logs and ropes. Nails will be used to further enhance your base fortifications but your main ressource will be ropes that can be either found or crafted with rags. This is well represented in the models as less nails are shown and more ropes are used to tie logs together.

The mod offers proper fire geometry, which means that if you see you can shoot through something, or between two logs it can be done. There are no invisible walls or glitches.

The mod does NOT yet have res lods other than 0 on some models. The res lods are ready but not yet used as some models are not final but even the base lods are very much low poly. The ones with heavy poly counts are already optimized.

I am always happy to work with servers who would like custom items, mechanics or base fortifications assets. I have done it previously in the past and always enjoy seeing their community`s view on my mods. If you would like to have a custom version of this mod for your server, contact me on discord.

Repackaging the mod is usually not accepted. Hence why most of my mods are no longer public. If you with to repackage or add this mod to your custom map please reach out to me on discord.
