In-game Customization:
  • Q > Utilities > X3NAmbience > Ambience Settings

Please note: You have to install X3NAmbience Base in order for an ambience pack to work, or else a message with popup will happen if you have it installed.

use setavolume "amount" to set how loud/quiet you want it to be, default is 0.3 you can set from 0 (0%) to 1(100%)
