INS Phoenix - Alicorn-Class Submarine Aircraft Cruiser

Description
OVERVIEW
This Alicorn-Class Cruiser is a 1/7th scale replica of the Alicorn submarine, formerly owned by Erusea of Strangereal.

This submarine project was owned and developed by the Cascadian Independence Force of Cascadia as a contingency asset, serving as a backup to the Eminent Domain, which was seized from the Pacific Federation Navy.

Following the initiation of the Cascadian Calamity Event - triggered by the Federation's Cordium-tipped missile strike on Prospero - the workers assigned to the submarine project were redeployed, leaving the initiative abandoned. However, after Cascadia's victory in the Cascadian Conflict, an independent contract naval force discovered the project and revived the submarine, giving it the reporting name Phoenix.


OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

SPAWNING
  • Due to the size of the submarine, you will either require the use of a modded workbench or the add-on editor to spawn it in. It will not be able to spawn in any regular-sized workbench.

STARTUP
  1. Enter the submarine and activate both main nuclear reactors.

  2. Enter the Captain's room and turn the 'Enable Alicorn Systems' key.

  3. All main submarine functions are controlled by the captain; Lights, Weapons, Propulsion.

WEAPONS
  1. To use the Main Railgun, turn the key labeled 'Raise Main Railgun' once the railgun is raised turn the key labeled 'Charge Main Railgun' and press SPACE to fire.

  2. To use the secondary Railguns, turn the key labeled 'ATTACK MODE' which will raise the railguns. One the railguns are completely raised you can control their orientations simultaneously using the arrow keys.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  1. All keypad unlock codes are 1,000,000

  2. The main railgun will lower to reload, be paitient, upon reloading the railgun will raise to your set height.

  3. The secondary railguns will lower their elevation to reload, be patient, the railguns will raise to their previous height when finished.

  4. When all secondary railgun magazine rounds are used, disable attack mode for 15 seconds and their magazines will be reloaded. You can then re-enable attack mode.

  5. Due to their size, filling or draining the ballast tanks will take a long time. The depth hold uses the propulsion system to keep the submarine submerged, meaning it will be angled downward. This is recommended over using the ballast tanks.

  6. The life support system is automated and uses hydrolysis to generate O2. You should not have to worry about life support while in the submarine.

WARNINGS

  1. DO NOT disable attack mode while the secondary railguns are angled downward, this risks the barrel hitting the railgun bay door.

  2. Tight turns will cause slight submersion with partially filled ballast, and roll-correction will take longer. Keep this in mind when out at sea.

@kakot I was originally under the impression that the rockets on the missiles would not work without the DLC, but I have since determined that was not the case. You should be fine without the space DLC.
