Typhoon (Russian Project 941 Akula) SSBN

Description
This mod adds the Typhoon (Project 941 AKULA) SSBN to the game. It includes the SS-N-20 Nuclear Missile. I also added Red October, as that fictional Typhoon was such a cultural icon. Special thanks to ManueverWarfare, as he came up with the ingenious use of the "scale" function to create the Sail. It's much cleaner than using dozens of kitbashed components to build the lower portion of the sail as I was originally doing.

Note: You'll probably find the SS-N-20 underwhelming. Even with a ridiculously high warhead rating, it doesn't produce significant blast effects. It also uses the SS-N-19 model, so after it deploys its wings it really doesn't look like an SLBM. But it will have to do for now...

This is not how it looks, I wanted to install it but immediately saw the discrepancy (. And in total, 6 of them were built. : ТК-208 «Дмитрий Донской» , ТК-202 , ТК-12 , ТК-13 , ТК-17 «Архангельск» , ТК-20 «Северсталь» .

@Toby Cool! I've been looking through the damage.ini, and thinking about how to modify it. I'll check out the discord, maybe they've made some progress...

Salvo Regards!

hey no worries. was not sure if it was a bug or simply a game issue. i know in the modding discord there is talk that people are finding how to get some large blasts to occur so maybe worth joining there

@Toby As I commented earlier:

I believe it is something to do with the base Damage Model; it just isn't designed to simulate the blast effects of nukes...

Sorry. :(

this talks about having nukes in the game but when i use them they barely act as anything more then any other anti ship missile (i tested a mixed us fleet versus the missile with all ships 10nm from each other and now a single ship barring the first one hit died)

I'm glad to see this boomer. Thanks! When will you create the Sierra Class attack sub ala Cold waters with the Shark Teeth?

You should change the screws like I did with Oscar II

@SamsungSmartFrideg - Unfortunately , the two floating things are part of the hull of the Oscar Model used as the basis of the Mod. They appear on the Oscar's Sail. I believe they were designed by the creator of the model to help align the sail properly on the model. When the Sail is moved back for the Typhoon, the little bumps stay in their original location, and can't be moved.
