Description
Ahoy! This mod started as an attempt to fix the boredom of the doctor and purser perks. As a result, the sufficient part of the whole RPG system has been revisioned here. It has not become easier or more difficult, but, I dare say, it has become more interesting. Recommended to install it with collection. Discussions about changes and development of the mod in Discord[discord.gg].

Important!
A new game is not required, but the mod changes the save file due to new perks, so if you want to return everything as it was, you need to delete the mod and download the save made before the mod was installed. More details: Here.

New perks:
  • Joint Boarding - Allows another ship from the squadron to participate in boarding if it is close enough. You can blast into galleons on two lugers, as befits a real Pirate! 🏴‍☠️
  • QuickGlance – Allows you to get the ship's traits when using a spyglass.
  • Trained Eye – Allows you to get an approximate value of the cargo when using a spyglass.
  • Trade Connections – Updates the local price information when visiting the settlement.
  • Intendant – Proper cargo distribution reduces its impact on the ship's speed and manuer.
  • Cook/Chief Cook – Reduces the consumption of provisions by 10/20%.
  • Bartender/Moonshiner – Reduces consumption of rum by 10/20%.
  • Quartermaster – Increases the maximum crew size by 10%.
  • Disciplined Looting – Allows you to automatically collect loot during boarding.

Original perks changes:
  • The Musket Salvo no longer requires increased crew damage, but it requires the Effective Boarding.
  • The Alchemy enhances poisons: by poisoning, you interrupt the healing effect of the opponent's bottles.
  • Increased hull damage replaced with Beneath the waterline – with a 3% chance a ball creates a hole in the hull, slowing down the ship.

Overall balance changes:
  • The system for obtaining perks has been changed, now perks points are awarded for each skill level up, but now you will have to spend several perk points for each perk, depending on the base and PIRATES.
  • The boarding surrender check has been redesigned. Now you don't need to play up to high ranks for someone to decide that you are a formidable enough captain. The Gentlemen of Fortune also sometimes want to live and give up.
  • The Shipwreck Survivors have become stronger but can't be save/loaded for change their skills. Don't leave them in the sea, they might be useful at the early stage of the game!

New mechanics:
  • Added the ability to send a companion to a friendly port directly from the open sea. It's not cheap but quite strong feature. You may catch Torero on El Cazador and send the ship to a port later or even get two ships for this fight because you also have joint boarding now.
  • New boarding gameplay situations: a crew can surrender its captain, and the captain can take his own life. There may also be a fight with the captain on the upper deck, rather than in the cabin.

Other changes:
  • What turned out to be non-conflicting with other mods is moved here.
  • The chaplain now receives a salary, but in return passively blesses the ship.

Is not working after 1.5.0:
  • In the ship-to-ship exchange interface, you can remove/set up cannons from the second ship. In battle works remove only.
