It being on "placeable" ground doesn't seem to matter, just the percentages in the mod settings.
The only thing that placement decides is how many of what type are under the quarry, so if it's just marble floor under it, then you only get marble, if most if is marble but some sandstone, then occasionally you'll get sandstone.
If you place a quarry upon quarried ground (destroyed, then rebuilt) it doesn't affect the chances of getting materials, but now you have an equally spread chance of a generated stone chunk being of any of the available stone materials on the map.
How does building a small or medium quarry affects this?
Also, does it matter how much of the quarry is built in green area? (i. e. if only half the quarry is on green stone, only half the yield?)
I am wondering if that way you could get infinite resources.
I guess dumb-deep drilling (random ground) would also give somekind of resource, but still, I always have a quarry in my bases, so I'd want the same in space.
