Quarry (1.6 Temp)

Description
Original by cuproPanda. Updated and maintained by TheWhiteCrayon and Ogliss!
This is an update. You can find the original mod at here

It will be removed once the original author updates the mod to 1.6 or asks to remove it.

Quarry for collecting rocks and resources in flat terrain.

Mineable Items
Chunks (only the types available under where the quarry was built)
Most vanilla and modded mineable items, by default
Any custom defined items in Options->Mod Settings->Quarry

Objects Added
Quarry: A large pit dug into the ground for digging, found in the Production menu.
Mini Quarry: A small pit dug into the ground for digging. Has less health than the regular quarry, found in the Production menu, as an option for the standard Quarry.
Quarry platform: A platform quarry workers will haul resources to. Must be placed near a quarry, preferably near the ladders. Quarries can be linked to only one or two platforms.

Other Features
Quarries can be built anywhere the terrain permits by enabling Place Anywhere in the mod options. These quarries will give chunks and blocks based on stone types available in the map.

Quarry is now a work type. Pawns can be set to work in the quarry or set to mine normally. Doing either job will increase mining skill, but allows further control over when miners work in the quarry.

You can now control the fertility of Reclaimed Soil via a mod option.

Biotech Miner mechanoids can work in the quarry, however any previously existing ones need to be regestated, or killed and resurrected.

Save Compatibility
This mod can be added to existing saves.
Always back up your saves before adding new mods as there is always the possibility for issues.

Mod Compatibility
Most items, including modded items, are available to be mined in Options->ModSettings->Quarry
Modded Stone type support: should now automatically handle most modded stone types.
QuarryableStoneDef: a new def type to allow modders to associate terraindefs with stone types, chunks and blocks

Cupro's Stones
Platforms will have different textures for different stone types

Prison Labour
Enable the Quarry Worktype for prisoners in the Prison Labour Mod Settings (check your prisoners are assigned to the Quarry Worktype)

Zenrith's Multiplayer
1.4 and below only
Many thanks to Cody for his patch!

Known issues, please report any other issues.

Minify Everything
Uninstalling the Quarry results in unreclaimable ground where the walls were – you will need to remove it using the dev mode set terrain tool.

@Xeonzs very interesting, thank you.

Update: I managed to fix the issue with being unable to select the quarry or quarry platforms after they've been built. It's a load order issue. You need to move the Quarry mod below Harmony and the vanilla Rimworld expansions. If you use "Auto sort load order" it gets put at the very top by default, and this is what was causing the issues.

I can't seem to select the quarry or set miners to work in it. Any explanation why?

So if for example your map has both marble and granite on it, but you decided to build your mountian base in the bottom left corner where there's only marble, it might be in your interest to build you quarry, destroy it, then rebuild it on the quarried ground, so that now chunks have a 50/50 chance to be granite instead of marble, useful for walls and barricades.

@Jixxor that's all subjective, because you can determine how long a quarry lasts in the mod options.
It being on "placeable" ground doesn't seem to matter, just the percentages in the mod settings.
The only thing that placement decides is how many of what type are under the quarry, so if it's just marble floor under it, then you only get marble, if most if is marble but some sandstone, then occasionally you'll get sandstone.

If you place a quarry upon quarried ground (destroyed, then rebuilt) it doesn't affect the chances of getting materials, but now you have an equally spread chance of a generated stone chunk being of any of the available stone materials on the map.

Do I understand it correctly that one quarry will yield, by default, 112 Steel, 3 Silver+Gold etc.?
How does building a small or medium quarry affects this?
Also, does it matter how much of the quarry is built in green area? (i. e. if only half the quarry is on green stone, only half the yield?)

For the love of god, stop changing the package id of mods. Just leave it as it is.

Obrigado pelo trabalho temporário 1.6.:steamthumbsup::steamthis:

Has anyone tried building this on the asteroids?
I am wondering if that way you could get infinite resources.
I guess dumb-deep drilling (random ground) would also give somekind of resource, but still, I always have a quarry in my bases, so I'd want the same in space.
