Description
Anti-Flash Glasses

Originating from a time when the Nuclear Breakthrough, as in utilizing low-yield nuclear munitions to create a break in the enemy's lines, was considered valid military strategy. These distinct round lens glasses worn by soldiers of the People's Army were part of the standard ABC (Atomic, Biological, Chemical) kit of the day, to be worn in anticipation of the brilliant flash that heralds the final deadly battle. Brave troops galloping over atomic fire to rid the world of the hateful enemy once and for all! But as kilotons grew into megatons and projected kilodeaths into megadeaths, the age of throwing tac nukes willy nilly was over and the glasses were returned to unnumbered warehouses. During the Détente, to capitalize on warmed relations with the outside world and to obtain precious hard currency ski lodges, once reserved for the aristocracy of the principality years and later after the Great Wars high members of the Politburo, were opened to cash-laden foreign visitors and winter athletes from fraternal nations. These surplus militarized welding glasses were repurposed as ski glasses for the People's Republic's ski lodges, and with the foreign exposure became somewhat of a symbol of the country. Naturally, when the hardliners closed the People's Republic once more, out of nostalgia or perhaps desire for secular nuclear deliverance, the Anti-Flash Glasses once again found themselves in the kit of the People's Army's troops.

Extra skins for my V+ fanfic faction, Vorobey/Sparrow that never until now saw the public light of day.

Conscripts, Paratroopers, and a more formal release of the MVD styled dudes in my Milsurp Store Liquidation pack.

Heavy internal security guys and Naval Infantry too now.
