Radio Antenna (Doubled ranges!)

Description
SE Branch
Currently this mod supports both development and stable branches. I don't forsee a breaking issue, however if it breaks, I will most likely update it for stable. This mod has no scripting, so it shouldn't break often.

** I will not support both the stable and dev branches at the same time. DO NOT ASK. **

As of the most recent information that I have, I do not agree with the decision the developers have made regarding updates.
This may change in the future.

Summary
Phoenix Manufacturing has done it yet again!

Forget lasers, come into the information age with C-Band satellite transmissions!
Asteroid and ships will no longer interrupt your sensitive communications.
Harness the power of radio waves to broadcast to the stars!

Features:
Laser Antenna functionality, without the LoS requirement

Standard Large ship:
Dish diameter: 2.5m
Distance: 200km
Broadcast power: 2.5 MW

Small ship:
Dish diameter: 1m
Distance: 100km
Broadcast power: 0.75 MW

In addition, there are two larger sizes to satisfy planetary communication needs.
Planetary Radio Antenna:
Dish diameter: 30m
Distance: 20Mm
Broadcast power: 32 MW
Block Size: 14x18x14

Deep Space Radio Antenna:
Dish diameter: 70m
Distance: 160Mm
Broadcast power: 64 MW
Block size: 28x33x28

These last two are for large grids only.
The Deep Space Antenna is MASSIVE, and requires a 28x28 block base to be placed on.
Please provide feedback on the new antennas!

FAQ
Q: Does it need to rotate?
A: Yes. It still needs to rotate towards its target, and is subject to pitch limitations (ie. can't point below ~10° horizontal).

Q: Does it work with DX9/DX11?
A: Yes.

Q: Why are the dishes so large?
A: NASA: http://www.nasa.gov/directorates/heo/scan/services/networks/txt_dsn.html

Q: Help, I can't place them, they're too large!
A: While trying to place the block, hold down Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel up, this will zoom the block placer out and allow you to get a better position to place it.

Q: What is "Mm"?
A: Mm is megameter. 1 Mm = 1000 km.

Recent Changes
* Added Planetary and Deep Space Radio Antennas
* Boosted distance of smallest antenna slightly.
* Rebalanced components to match stock laser antenna.

I did a rebalance with these and some other antennae.
Check it out HERE

no, i havent played with them too much yet. but i know the need to have LOS and thats why they are abnoctious if you have asteroids

@Philipp__3
You know the vanilla Laser Antenna covers infinite distance (At the cost of more power), right?

Hi, I just found this mod and want to ask if it still functions as planned. There are pretty large distances that could be covered with this if it still works as described.

Keen has a hard coded limit on antenna ranges.

Late reply, I know.
Mm = megameters, 1Mm = 1000km

Could you make a mod that increases the Antenna Dish range to make them better than the regular laser antenna, since it costs more and is bigger?
Darian Stephens 5 Aug, 2019 @ 7:46am
Yeah, this was a lot more useful back before laser antennas had unlimited range.

Planetary radio antenna isn't a radio antenna, but a laser with all it's disadvantages. For 4000 km it obviously consumes approximately 400 MW as the ordinary laser, so the 32 MW are wrong. There is no advantage of all this.

Built 2 large planetary antennas, distance 4500 km, power supply 60 MW and power supply breaks down when switching antenna on. What are the right data, 32 MW as written above can't be true ???
It isn't funny to harvest gold for 2800 superconductors, build antennas and reactors on different planets and in the end all that work was in vain because of wrong power data.
