CJ's Camera Overlay Tweak

Description
Replaces the Space Engineers stock camera overlay with a new one with no smudges and an unobtrusive targeting reticle. Modifies existing in-game camera (both small and large grid) and this mod can be safely removed, reverting the cameras back to their stock overlay texture.

* Update 2017-08-14: The game's default camera overlay has been SIGNIFICANTLY improved since this mod was first published, I have created a new overlay texture for use with the camera - this has a slight tint and a targeting reticle added.

* Update 2017-02-28: Mod checked and working as intended. Small block camera XML updated to include voxel placement rules as per the stock camera.
* Update 2016-11-17: Large block camera XML updated to include settings for new raycast functionality. These same settings are currently missing for the small block camera in the game's cubeblocks.sbc file and I'm currently unsure whether they are required.
* Update 2016-02-25: I have included the old glass texture file in the mod so that the cameras should use this instead of the new (scratched) glass, of which I'm not really a fan, particularly for the camera.
* Update 2015-12-03: A bug in SE is preventing the camera (this mod and stock) zoom from working properly. I have reported this and they have explained it's a known issue that should be addressed soon.
* Update 2015-10-19: MinFOV setting adjusted from default 0.1 to 0.05 to marginally extend the zoom range.

TROBLESHOOTING:

When more than one mod redifnes an in-game block, in this case the cameras, other mods loaded after it can override the cnages made by this mod, making it appear like it's not working.

Try changing your mod order (move them up and down in the list) and put this mod either at the top of the list or the bottom - this usually resolves teh

Hi there. I'm after some advice please. I want to make my own camera overlay, but don't know how. Can you help please?

Thanks in advance,
Woostyboy :)

I've checked the mod - as far as I can tell it was still working. Anyhow I checked the definitions for the stock cameras and noticed there were some new parameters for small block cameras related to voxel placement so I updated the mod with these today. :)

If you are having issues with this mod please reder to the troubleshooting tip at the bottom of the description - it's likely a mod loading order error.

Thanks for responding. I've not had SE installed for some time and not updated this or any of my other SE mods for quite while.

I was curious as to how many people still use this - it's got nearly 5000 subscribers. :/

If I get time I'll see if I can sort out the issue you mention.

Yes! My friend and I are using it, but after the update a while back the camera is obstructed by what looks like saran wrap over the lens (plastic wrap) :\
