The Kalashnikov AK-12 itself was the newest derivative of the Soviet/Russian AK-pattern series of assault rifles in 2012 and was proposed for possible general issue in the Russian Army. Other modifications like a AKS-12U, RPK-12, SVD-12 and DBV-12 was created in BRIAR Mechanics*.
