Good day Cimtizens !


Loads of people still play SC4... A few ones still play SimCity 3000, and I'm one of them. I still enjoy the relative simplicity of it and the toyish and friendly look it has...

I wanted to remake a growable from SC3, prepare for some nostalgia.

I picked this one : "The Arrow Building". It's from the european building set.

I liked the modern look and the colored glass.

I made some modifications (it was a commercial, but for CSL is was more suitable as an office building... and the original roof didn't really make sense for an office building... and I shrinked the building base... and I wanted it to be a bit more colorful.).

Well... is is now a growable 4x3 level 3 office building.


Some technical info :

It's 53 meters tall and has 13 floors.
1360 tris and 1024x1024 textures
Custom lod - 100 tris and custom 128* textures

It's (of course) lit during the night.

I like this building a lot. It's different. On a side note I still remember playing the original Sim City and one of my all time favs was SC:2000 until I played SC:4. I'd love to still play it but it won't on my current systems. Anyways, thx for the asset.

You make beautiful CS renditions of SC4 and SC3K buildings. I am very excited to see more. Maybe throw in one or two of the nice high wealth SC2000 ones too when you get the chance :]

Well I might make variation for certain buildings but not just the height, design variations yes. (And I did on my two last ones).

Nice job - looks great. Any chance you could take a page from Reaper's playbook and make some height variations? I find that's nice for business parks and also to break up the repetition in cities.
