Description
Weeping Willow 2 by MrMaison

This is my second more improved Weeping Willow tree to add more variety to our natrue needs. It's hand crafted in Xfrog and Blender.

Stats:
I kept the textures at 1024 to keep the fine details of the leaves.

1848 tris. Use in moderation if you have an older computer. This type of tree is not for entire forests anyway....mainly decoration.

Special thanks to TPB for helping with lighting and shadows via vertex normals.

I strongly suggest getting Boformer's Random Tree Rotation mod to minimize repetetive angles. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=556784825&searchtext=

Hi There Mr. Maison. Just an update to you. You said you'd like to see Monkey Pod (which you seem to have renamed as ACACIA, right?) in my series's. I found it in your group and LOVE it - so have placed it in-game (and on the series). I'm having trouble with my game right now (it crashed on two of the series's) and I think I've nailed the problem down to two mods that I made the mistake of downloading that looked wonderful, but did not have a lot of stars yet, and I'm afraid they may have caused the ARRAY INDEX problem that took down my series games. PS: NOT ANY OF YOURS. Yours are still working great. I've even subscribed to the eucalyptus set and changed out one of my promenades with those in it, so they will show up now in the series's (given that I ever get the series's up and running again). Afraid to do anything till I know for sure what caused the problem.

Please comment here when you get those Monkey Pod and Ohia Lehua trees up as mods. I'll be wanting to put them in my next series (and maybe in new parks in one of the three serie's I already have going). Hope you like what I did with your beautiful willows and shade trees in RIVERDANCE. I might've overdone the use of em a bit, but I just love em soooo much.....chuckle....

elr3000elr- Wow, I totally missed your messages the past few days. Not sure how that happened. Thank you for your kind words and I'm always looking forward to seeing the trees in use. I will be watching your series with interest.

The Monkey Pod AKA Saman AKA Rain Tree is an awesome species! I would love to see it in game. Thanks for suggesting it. It is now officially on my todo list thanks to you along with some other Oceania species for that part of the world including Ohia Lehua which is already planned.

One teensy little secondary thought.....have you ever seen a MonkeyPod tree? They are all over in Hawaii. It's a HUGE tree that gets easily three stories tall and has (I'm not exagerating here) a 60-100 foot wide spread of its branches, which are all waaaaayyyyy up in the upper 5th of the tree (looking VERY much like a 3-story-tall green umbrella). The tree is absolutely beautiful, with lacy, fern-like branches of leaves that let the sun shine through in dappled shade. The leaves in each "fake fern" are soooo small that when they fall you don't even need to rake em up - they just disintegrate in a day or two. Do you think you might ever do one of those? If you do I promise to make another series JUST so I can put them all over it. ...... just a thought ...... :steamhappy:

Hi There Mr. Maison. Wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE your Weeping Willow. I've actually used it as a full-on mapping tree (it's all over the place) in my Cities Skylines Riverdance series on YouTube ( you can see my PLAYLIST for this RIVERDANCE series at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mewbo04vVOs&list=PLbJtSFKENlPZZanwkETRwBeNp_ju71IDP if you like to check them out). I also line all the rivers in this series and back many of the parks on the rivers with them. I've acknowledged you as the modder for this and other mods in my series, and will acknowledging you again in episode 30 of this series (though I'm presently uploading ep 24 &it takes 2-3 days for an upload here, so that ep won't hit YouTube till May sometime). But you can see your trees ALL OVER in my series now, if you want to check it out.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and thank you soooo much for your lovely tree. Please keep em coming. :steamhappy:
