Maybe make 3 mods, each one with harsher winter. Like -20, -30, -40 so people could choose. What was game base temp. for winter...-10?

"Recently" we had an "warming" like most other places in the world due to solar activity, officially worldwide brainwash-transformed into CO2 Agenda, as this warming is a cycle proces ...either way sometimes its still harsh as fuck. I'm happy i live near (200m) Baltic Sea so temp. is somewhat stable without sick jump in amplitude, further inside the country its still -15 as a standard with sezons of lover temps.
