Scalpel Interceptor (Stock)

The Scalpel is the standard interception Fighter employed by HDY. It is designed to be launched quickly and escort larger ships in combat, such as the new Vengeance Battlecruiser, and provide an anti-fighter screen for the heavy ships. The Scalpel does not have its own oxygen supply. The Pilot stores oxygen bottles in the cargohold instead, and the fuel for the Hydrogen Thrusters is stored in a large tank in the vessel's center, making it extremely vulnerabe to hits. The Scalpel's eccelent maneuverability however more than makes up for that. Pilots claim the Scalpel might well be the best interceptor ever to be constructed, and praise the ship's speed and agility that easily outmatches any present day counterpart.
The Scalpel was designed to be operated from the HDY Vengeance Class Battlecruisers.
