German Army for Wargaming

Beskrivning
Uploaded by Sly., made by Baryonyx because Bary has a bug that does not allow him any more uploads!

This is a set of WW2 german soldiers for use in wargaming. They are modified versions of those made by Luthervian, who kindly allowed us to upload them. Please visit his workshop here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/Luthervian/myworkshopfiles/
The soldiers come with a variety of weapons and uniforms and are all set up to be able to change stances (standing, kneeling, prone, dead) for detailed, simulative wargames.

For more mods, please visit Baryonyx' workshop here:

Damn. I'll continue looking.

The reason it doesn't import into TaToSim is that the hull of the MRAP is too detailed. It is 152k tris while a model in the game has to be below 20k.
Using the blender decimate modifier to get it down to below 20k makes it look very ugly.
So you will have to look elsewhere to find a less detailed MRAP model.

I did try to upload it straight into TTS. The turret worked, but was way too large. The MRAP itself did not load (I got an error). I've seen some of your tanks with alternate turrets, so I'm guessing they can be snapped together somehow? You'll have to bare with me, I'm a step below Novice even.

Anyway, here is the vehicle itself: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/407e2980776bf62ff22a3ef5c44fbed6
Here is the turret: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/b4bb56792c533f1ff22bfe92f85d3d2a

Again, if it becomes too compicated I totally understand. Thanks again for even considering it.

As it came from a 3D print site I presume there was no texture to it. So now you open the obj. file in notepad, ctrl+A, ctrl+C and paste it into here: https://gist.github.com/ , make a secret gist and once it has created it, press the "Raw" button. Then you give me the resulting link.

Update: I changed the MRAP and turret over to .obj from the .stl format via blender (imported .stl file, then exported it as .obj). Where do we go from here?

Baryonyx You're awesome enough just for responding. I'm off to try and find some guide to convert the files to .obj. There has to be a way.

Donnie, the models from there seem to be in some 3D-print format that I do not know how to work with.
If you find a way to convert these to .obj format then I can maybe do something.

1-100_cougar_MRAP.zip has what I need. Naturally, you're the master here so I wouldn't dictate which one(s) you made. I would love to have the one with the least on it, though. In the preview images there's one that is almost bare aside from a turret on top. Again, if no that's perfectly fine. I just noticed you said "if [Anzei] had a source [you] could make figures from that" and I thought "Never hurts to ask."

Baryonyx, if I had a model for a modern Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle (or at least a link to one on thingiverse) would you be willing to make a figure of one? I'd love you forever - not that I don't already.

Thanks. These are not planned at the moment, mainly because of lacking time and lacking models. If you have a source for japanese soldiers and equipment I could make figures from that.
