I DO know of one cause of the change in the gene symbol
when your mods change the symbol breaks
this is fixed by loading the xenotype in the xenotype ui and resaving it with the new modlist
this one however
is a vanilla thing
its definitely an oddity that not everyone has
ive not had it myself with any of the 3 creators
i do not have the context of what actually causes the issue though sadly
its ether a conflict no ones figured out
or all 3 of the mods have the same problem
bradson himself the creator of FISH confirmed it was fixed years ago
the rw main troubleshooting pin is not updated cause I

cant be bothered to rewrite it
all 3 of the pawn editors have pretty notable issues
but none are save breaking unless you use char editors def editor function
