Description

Anime Portraits for Crusader Kings II v3.3.X

Installation

Subscribe or direct download this file CK2_Anime_Portraits.7z[drive.google.com] if workshop version not working for you.
Extract the downloaded file.
Copy "animeportraits" folder and "animeportraits.mod" file.
Paste to "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\"
Enable this mod in launcher.

How to change eye patch, masks, blindfold and character overlay

Open folder "---- options ----" select what you want.
Copy ".dds" files.
Paste to "animeportraits\gfx\characters\shared"
Overwrite old files.

If you want to remove beards, masks, cloths, hats or anything

Go to Open folder "animeportraits\gfx\characters".
Open file what you want with "Gimp or Paint.NET".
Edit and save.
Enjoy.

CK2Plus 4.08 BETA, download this file CK2Plus_animeportraits_408[drive.google.com] and enable 3 mods "-CK2Plus & Anime Portraits-", "CK2Plus " and "Anime Portraits"

Best mod on the workshop. Vanilla portrait are horrendous and make me want to puke. Mods that try to fix this, like 'better looking garbs' just don't help.

I've played with this mod for so long that I almost forgot that this is a mod

@isaac.zarbarel Thank you so much ! I tried this fix on my Steam Deck and it worked! Had to open the .zip file (of Anime Portraits) and now I can finally play Egyptian !!!

I was wrong. The problem appears to be that the headgear textures are corrupted.

re: the Egyptian female portrait thing: basically it's missing egyptian_female_clothes.dds and egyptian_female_clothes_behind.dds , and possibly some other stuff

Putting literally any other clothing textures in as those should fix the problem

Anybody know if it's possible for one of the anime portraits to have purple eyes and if so what culture is most likely to have it? I could swear that I saw a character with purple eyes once but never again and now I don't know if I'm going insane or if it actually happened XD
