Description
CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED FOR NEW PATCH!

All of the new Regiments of Renown units have:
- Full Functionality in Campaign & Custom Battle
- Unique stats or abilities that allow for varied lines of play, both in Custom Battle & Campaign
- Custom Unit-card Artwork based on the existing RoR precedent.
- Custom flavor-text descriptions based on the lore.
- Customized models to make them look like the Regiments of Renown that they are!
- Re-textures aren't done on all units, they are still being worked to get even closer to the unit cards!


GOOGLE DOC

There's also a Google Doc for the mod. This helps keep the workshop page as clean as possible, but still keep all of the extra content and information available.

UNITS OVERVIEW

So far in the Mod you will find 19 NEW Regiments of Renown, separated into 3 playable factions. Each unit is lore-friendly, based heavily on the books & lore of Warhammer Fantasy.

DWARFS
The Theme is "Legendary Clans"
5 custom available (see images above)

ORCS & GOBLINS
The Theme is "Legendary Bosses"
5 custom available (see images above)

VAMPIRE COUNTS
The Theme is "Armies of The End Times"
9 custom available (see images above)


UPCOMING CONTENT

We've got a lot of work going on right now! NEW Regiments of Renown for Empire, Orc, & Dwarfs are coming up next, followed by the Chaos & Beastmen as well as Bretonnia and Wood Elves. Basically every faction is getting their RoR count increased, to some degree, ultimately working towards a balanced roster for each.

In addition, doing full Re-Textures on all of the models to make them grittier, and even closer to their unit cards (which show how they will look when they are done!)

KNOWN BUGS

- Nexus Cadaveron (Corpse Cart) isn't displaying his cart, so currently appears as a necromancer on foot, and his HP total is being affected. This is currently the only Regiment of Renown unit with issues that we are aware of.

- Next one is NOT a bug, but I'm listing it because the question comes up a lot:
At the moment, several "in-development" RoR's are visible to players in the main mod that aren't truly ready for release either due to balance or bug reasons, these units have been set to recruit at level 99, so they are unplayable at the moment. This is intentional until they are complete, but you'll know they are released when they get a RoR card in the images above like the VC units.

- Issues that don't have an immediate solution handled there, are transferred onto the "Known Bugs" section of the REGIMENTS of RENOWN - Google Doc [docs.google.com], so if you want to understand more about things like the current Corpse Cart HP bug, this is the place to go!


COMPATIBILITY

1. Requires a new save-game to take effect, but won't cause any real issues with old Save-games, you just won't be able to recruit the new units in campaign until you start a new campaign.

2. This mod is highly compatible with most mods out there due to the way I've designed them as entirely new units, (I've tested it with up to 20+ mods on at the same time for example).

3. Mods that also include a STARTPOS.esf file, like Radious, Faction Unlockers (excluding the work done with Crynsos of course), etc. can have issues. (If you're not sure what files contain a Startpos.esf, you can check the Google Doc for a known list.

4. Just to repeat this because its a common post, Startpos compatibility conflicts can cause the new Regiments of Renown not to appear as a recruit-able option in campaign, regardless of the notifications the player receives. If you see notifications, and no RoR's, you have another startpos mod in-conflict.

SUB-MODS

1. We've had many requests for a "No Cap" sub-mod, similar to the vanilla RoR's one I did. It's something we are seriously considering, just remember its more work for us and everything is a trade-off, so that means less time for new RoR's and All Lords, etc nevertheless, I'll let you all know what we decide in the future!

FYI for anyone looking at mods in 2024 and beyond: this mod "breaks" Norsca/Wintertooth in the campaign selection menu. There is a discussion above that mentions it but if you're like me you may have missed it. If you don't own/don't care about Norsca DLC then you're fine, the mod works fine for the base factions.

Is this being worked on? Would make a great addition for my modpack. I'm learning how to fix some compatibility issues in some mods, but I don't know if I can take this and the All Tabletop Lords by myself.
