For anybody who followed the dialogue with Dr.StrangeSpock and me:

Open TE-Taman1941. Do NOT open any file that looks like TE-Taman1941_2_5 etc. (from 1_1 to 8_8)

I see. Like I wrote, the numbered file cannot be accessed directly. They contain the detail for certain areas of the map and become streamed in / out based on player proximity. The reason for the use of level streaming technique is the very size of the map that comes close to campaign dimensions. Hence the long development time for it.

Try to start TE-Taman1941 and you should be fine. That's the persistent level that contains terrainand stuff.

No Rush. I do have 12GB ram and using PrimoCache to Cache HD data played to an SSD. I did click on one of those numbered files and it just went blank.Well, a lot of maps in Workshop using PLAY MAP do not work or work right showing black areas below one or not load up, but do work online in servers so I am used to it.:ss13ok:

Hello Dr. StrangeSpock. Currently I am working on the town part that comes along with lots of modelling, so I can't see into the workshop files right now. There will be an update in jan 2017. I am aware that the test server is not running the map currently either. Sorry, but I am just one guy with a job and family.

One thing though: The map need RAM. And I mean RAM. If you are short on memory then this might be one of the issues. There's lots of new models and textures in it.

Second aspect: The browser for workshop maps will show all of the streaming files, too. You only need to doubleclick TE-Taman1941. Ignore any of the files that have numbers after the mapname.

I am trying to PLAY MAP in the in-game Workshop Play MAP mode but it almost loads and locks up RO2 requiring Task Manager closing. I had all 3 DLs checked and unchecked and redowned them but same result.

I take it you haven't found the path to the collections: Either use the breadcrumb links above the title of this item ('workshop of Sven71') and then click on collections where you will find an entry named TE-Taman1941. Another click and you are in the collections area that has a description. This direct link should also work: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=767673306

I see, and what is TE-Taman1941 like?I see this is a map but see no description of it beyond the name. Its not very descritpive, it only says "subscribe to my stuff!" and I'm sure people would like to know what the map is if they're going to have any interest in it, more screenshots would also help people see if it's of interest or not. Thank you for answering.
