Calmer Colors - Eyes (WotC compatible)

Beskrivelse
After using a mod that randomized the look of rookies, I noticed that too many of them reminded me of deranged cartoon characters. In an effort to tone things down a bit, I made changes to the color palettes related to hair, eyes, and armor for my own games and decided to make them available for other users.

What does this mod do?

This mod makes changes to the game's color choices related to your characters' eye customization. All vivid eye colors were replaced with other, more natural, options.

Compatibility:

Due to how mods are now handled when loading the game, you'll need to use the Alternative Mod Launcher to get this mod to work with WOTC.

This mod directly changes the color palette in the base game so unless you are using another eye color mod, there shouldn't be a conflict. I've been asked about having this mod work with other color mods. As far as I can tell, the only way to modify the color palettes is to replace them with a new version. It's not like other game configuration files where you can add and remove parts.

Note that since this mod changes the color palette, your current characters may be affected. I tried to keep as many of the retained original color options in their same order but I did move some colors around to keep them grouped.

Is there a way I can :
1 - Add a color (pink, for my psi operatives)?
2 - Change the color order, as all my new recruits start with the first color in the palette?

Does this have a different default color? I can't stand everyone having red eyes.
Just curious, not a big deal. These colors are vastly better than what are in game. Thank you!

@Beaker
Would it be possible to add a black (or a suuuupper dark brown) color? Thanks!

Liking the mod so far (though not having to tweak my whole character pool.) :-D

I just hopped in the character creator and both seemed be working fine. You will see the yellow warning triangle in the mod selection screen but they will still work if you select them.

This one and the Calmer Colors - Hair are being shown as uncompatible with WOTC.

Just did some testing and it looks like this mod is compatible with WotC. You can just ignore the yellow exclamation icon and enable it in your mods screen.

The purple color has been added back to its default position since the Psi Op soldier uses that for their transformation.

I'll take a look at it. If it draws from a specific color number, I'll see about getting that put back into the palette. I kept the white hair color in the other mod but it might have had it's position number changed as I added new colors so I'll check that as well. Thanks for the heads up.

Good to see a color mod that actually adds decent colors rather then even more flashy colors :steamhappy:

I have a small request thought for this eye mod specifically, could you keep (or add back) some bright purplish colors from the original set to use on Psi troopers (i think it's color 18 that's automatically applied to psi troopers eyes). It gives them a unique (and i think, fitting) look.
I suppose you left hair color 25 (white hair) untouched as it's also a normal color.
