Omschrijving
A test map for various scripted features. Feel free to use and modify the scripts.

Features a custom scripted player physics system with many locomotion options.

Most of the features are pretty basic and unpolished. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

Includes:
  • Quick Locomotion options:
    • Direct sliding (controller or head direction).
    • Grab to move.
    • Ring movement (hold button and start moving in a direction to keep moving).
    • Snap turning (angle adjustable).
    • Smooth turning.
  • MAC-10 'n Beans
  • Laser pistol
  • M72 LAW rocket Launcher
  • Mare's Leg rifle with spin cycling
  • Recurve Bow - Both automatic and manual nocking
  • HL2 Gravity gun, remastered and original world model.
  • Hydrogen inflated balloons
  • Spray paint cans
  • Longsword
  • Entity scanner
  • Nailgun
  • Fireworks
  • Round bomb
  • Paper plane
  • Spawnpoint reloaction tool
  • Locomotion tool with several modes:
    • Grabbing and climbing - Options to grab surfaces and empty space, including Gorn style ground based movement, and turning. And Climbey style flinging.
    • Direct trackpad/thumbstick sliding - Including touch/push and hand/head relative options.
    • Grappling hook
    • Flying - Two different modes.
  • More locomotion options:
    • Barnacle Grapple - Modeled after the one in Half-Life: Opposing Force
    • Ski poles
    • Pogo stick
    • Suction cup
    • Jetpack


Known issues
  • Players collide with held props/tools.
  • Ropes freeze if the entity attached to them is killed.
  • Some tools can get stuck inside surfaces.
  • The locomotion tool does not retain settings across saved games.
  • Rope particles are not retained across saved games.
  • Range barrel reset positions are wrong after restoring a saved game.
  • Player settings are not saved.
  • Animations are broken for most tools.
  • Extreme stuttering on locomotion if motion smoothing is active.

This is not only the best out of SteamVR, But I love it so much! It's pretty cool how a developer managed to make something like this, It's super cool!

I could never get it working, the tracing functions are too limited.

Subscribe to it. Then open the SteamVR Home menu (usually B or Y button) and select the map from the Environments screen.
