Description
The EGS tool lets you spawn groups of entities with ease. No more spamming the toolgun to get perfect lines and arrays; whether it's NPCs, Vehicles, Props, Ragdolls, SENTs, or even SWEPs, the EGS tool does it for you!







The control panel can be found in Spawn Menu > Tools > Jaxswat's Tools > Entity Group Spawner
  • Presets - Allows you to load and save EGS presets
  • Current Shape - The current shape the entity group will spawn in.
  • Spawn relative to..? - The point the entire group will spawn relative to. Will it spawn centered, or elsewhere?
  • Face entity to..? - The direction each entity will face. By default, it faces the direction it was shot in. Good for facing props.
  • Gravity - Should the entities spawn with gravity enabled?
  • Freeze - Should the entities be frozen upon spawning?
  • Edge only - Only spawn the edge of the square
  • Checkered - Spawn the shape in a checkered pattern
  • Invert Checkered - Invert the checkered pattern
  • Entity Count X/Y - The amount of entities on the X/Y axis for square shapes. (REMEMBER: The total entity count is X times Y, so 10x10 would be 100 entities. Careful spamming these large numbers!)
  • Entity Gap - The amount of space in between entities.
  • Circle Entity Count - The amount of entities to fit inside the circle.
  • Radius - The radius of the circle.
  • Spawn Menu Compatability - For those who can't see the EGS option in the spawn menu.

@Zaurzo Glad to hear there's a hook for this. I haven't done gmod dev since this was written, but I know a guy who could update it perhaps. If you're interested in updating this, add me on steam or discord. The code is open source on GitHub. Thanks! :engi:

Hello. Please use the recently added SpawnmenuIconMenuOpen hook to add new options to the right click menu. Your current implementation completely breaks the hook for other addons.

It's glitching for me cause I'm changing the number of the npcs but the tool gun is saying there only 9 and it's also only spawning 9, Can someone help?
