use the mod tools pick what faction you hope to be in advance and modify all there unique units.
its called: Total war Assembly pack or something similar and is avaible on steam through the tools section.

also when you download the total was assembly pack its all in a zip and you have to unpack the thing yourself (if you're on a windows computer i would recommend installing it in your C drive or a similar place as to avoid annoying unpacking problems.)
there are a couple far more indepth tutorials on the forum from there on.

Also to be clear i mean the Total War forums

All I know is that you can give yourself as much gold as you like through cheat engine. If you want to alter the gold intake of other clans, I don't know how to do that.
