water/hydration markers disappeared!

Early on I had the indicators on the top left of the screen showing how hydrated my characters were. For what ever reason, those are now gone. Is this by design, or is it something I can fix? Kind of annoying to start walking and have characters take damage with no indicator!

There is a keyboard button that toggles it. F hides it, G brings it back.
