Run speed fix
Ok so when I first installed this addon for a DarkRP server a year ago, there was an issue where as soon as you picked up a gun from this pack, your run speed would be set to 500 which is the standard Gmod run speed. However DarkRP runs on a slightly slower speed.

Using the packs settings in the Q menu didn't change anything, you could go and change the files to manually configure but that's messy for updating. You could also run a command to force the mass of the weapons off but I could not locate that from a friend.

So I tried a few settings via the ULX rcon and lua commands and I used the commands Siminov added in.

sim_run_speed 310

This seems to fix the speed to a normal DarkRP run speed.

Re-create issue:

1. Enter a server with the addon in it.
2. Spawn a gun and hold shift to run, you should be running quite fast (e.g. not like DarkRP default)
3. Run the command in ULX (or Rcon) and respawn yourself.
4. Pick up the weapon and hold shift again, you should now be running slower.

I tested this by making run speed 150 (slower then walking) and 999 (really fast lol)

You need to set this anytime the server has restarted but i'm yet to see if I can set this in a autorun/server config to automatically do it.

I note that the police boost they get by default in DarkRP will be over-ridden if you use this pack and these commands, so police end up running the same speed if equipped with a pack gun.

Hope this helps :)

Sorry? Please explain rather then posting vauge messages like 99% of the other help/tutorial posts online for gmod/darkrp...

"sim_walk_speed" "250.000000"
"sim_run_speed" "260.000000"
"sim_weightmod_t" "1"
"sim_manualholster_t" "1"
"mad_recoilmul" "1.00000"
"mad_damagemul" "1.000000"
"sim_accuracymul" "1.000000"
"sim_shell_t" "1"
"sim_flash_t" "1"
"sim_jam_t" "1"
"sim_draw_t" "1"

Put those in your server.vdf

You mean server.cfg, yes this works but not for all.

Also can you put next to each command what each setting does, help people. Otherwise they have to go google it and end up searching hours for endless "HELP ME" threads that never get replied to.

I said server.vdf - twice.

yep, that's it.

Yes I know Hakuna, you said .vdf twice, but where is a server.vdf file? Are you meaning V rather then a typo for C?

Not sure why you are trying to help but acting like you don't want to help and giving short answers that people won't understand if they come across them. The whole reason i'm adding so much info is because I spent a good couple of hours trying to fix this and tried to work with others and Siminov to resolve and always got "Dunno" responses....

server.vdf is literally located right below server.cfg

It's not a typo.

Put what I posted, inside "server.vdf" and restart your server.

Cool, what is the function of server.vdf versus .cfg?

Thanks for the help and information, this part of the weapon pack was frustrating me a lot.
