The map creator is clearly very ashamed of his work on this map. Its poorly built and he wants it to "die a quiet, easy death." However, I think he underestimates the significance of downtown_v4c. This map, in its day, was one of the most popular roleplay maps avaliable on the workshop. Most darkrp maps used to day, including v4c_v2 and tits_v2, are derived from this map. This map may not be perfect, but its a major part of Garry's Mod history, and a great base for modifying and improving the basic downtown layout.

Its my opinion that a VMF file of this map should be posted publicly, not only because of its importance, but because we know what great things happen when people edit the old downtown maps. This map is the closest thing this mingey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game has to a living tradition, and I don't want to see that tradition die.
