Stuck? Here's a guide. I intentionally made the mod to work best for mid-level characters who have already done a bit of exploration, so they could solve the location puzzles without the use of questing arrows and frustration. However, you might still get stuck, or want to quickly try out the quest!

Where to find the cavern

The cavern is located in the Falkreath hold, a cell or two directly south of the "Evergreen Grove" located at -14 -17. If you head from here, hugging the nearby hill to your right, you should run right into it. Once you get into the general area of the cavern, a marker will appear on your map and you will get an update on the quest.

How to open the cavern door

You need to place (any) empty soulgem into the cradle near the door, like you would add an item to a container or person. Next, something has to die near the cradle. Their soul will be trapped into the gem and open the door.

How to get to the center of Myrdos

You need to ride the light links to the center. To activate them, you have to activate the towers they belong to. But, you still can't reach the center! This is because once you have all three towers activated, you need to go to the tower that holds the Soul Binder. Activate this object and it will bind the towers, allowing you to enter the center.

How to defeat the final encounter.

This encounter is highly mobile, he has very high health, and he uses powerful magic. Consider stocking up on magic resist potions from the soul forge to tank his short range attacks. Don't be dismayed by his high health - the secret is landing enough consecutive hits to cause the pillar of light above him to explode, which will not only heal you but take a signifigant chunk of his health away.

Alternatively, you can use ranged magic or arrows, but you might find it taking a while and things getting crazy once he has created many pillars of light.

Note that you cannot take damage while on a light link due to taking a spirit form. Use this to your advantage if you need a quick escape! You can simply ride on the links long enough to heal up passively before pursuing him again.
