its a rumor thats surfaced due to complete innactivity of his account and the vague statement he made saying "started 2008 :ended never!" , i myself dont know if i agree with these rumors but the map always felt eerie due to how empty it is

That person was last online in October 2009, but it also looked like he used Steam as a social media account more than a game launcher. Maybe he just up and left.

The raeson people see ghosts and get the eerie feeling is because some word that starts with k, but is essentially the fear of thinking you're alone but not being alone. I don't know what to say about the creator. The only time i even heard about this map was on youtube this morning when i heard about this. Very interesting but the claim that his ghost transported inside the map itself is just stupid and disrespectful. It's just paranoia and honestly the only thing that would give me chills if he did kill himself is being on a map where a person died. Now I don't experience this but maybe it's because i just started my steam account 1 to 2 years ago and never got a fond feel or love for the map, but i still can't see how these claims exist. FUN FACT: If you look up the name rp_downtown_v2 on google one of the results says the map was taken down and it's from steam, too. Strange huh?
