Suggestion: VFE Use With Shields Override
Not sure if this has been suggested before, but it would be great if you added a way to set weapons to work with shields as a patch for Vanilla Expanded Framework. (At least I think its a VEF feature and not vanilla.)

AKA, the Framework adds:
<li Class="VFECore.ThingDefExtension">
<usableWithShields>true</usableWithShields>

to items that can or cannot be used with shields, and the current QOL settings don't appear to have any way to change this setting on a weapon by weapon basis. For example, I want to make certain long-swords usable with shields, and would love for a simple toggle or way to use RIMMSqol to make that happen.

Hopefully what I am suggesting wouldn't require making VEF a dependent, as that certainly would be a problem. Any way to make it a non-dependent patch where the setting becomes available if the Framework is detected?

As a note, I am referring to actual wieldable shields added by various VE mods, not the vanilla energy shields.

Look at your mod menu "Vanilla Shields Expanded" is the native mod entry that allows editing that I think. It becomes visible once a shield item is present and is from the vef mod itself.
Oh shoot, you're 100% correct, I had no idea there was a mod menu for that feature. I had looked in the Framework's settings, but hadn't seen there was a separate mod menu for the shields. I figured it was just something mod makers would have to toggle themselves.

Wish I had known that before I spent several hours yesterday making a patch mod to do it myself xD
