Suggestions and other stuff I've noticed
  • Weapons like the SS2 and Doom shotguns use the same bullet spread as SS1 shotguns, so it would be nice to have the spread more accurate to their source games.
  • Doom 1/2 & Doom 3 fists do 100 damage, the same as the Military Knife, which is too much for how fast you can attack with them.
  • Doom chainsaws and SS Classic chainsaw have so much range. Were they like that in the original games?
  • SS2 Double Shotgun, SS Classic Double Shotgun, Doom 2 Super Shotgun, and Quake Super Shotgun don't have animations for firing your last two shells.
  • SS2 Zap Gun always does 30 damage whether it's charged or not.
  • Quake Super Nailgun only consumes 1 nail per shot instead of 2 in the actual game.
  • SS Classic Sniper uses HD animations. Perhaps use classic-style animations by Biomechanoid?
  • SS2 Uzi bullets always come from the right-side gun twice then the left-side gun twice.
  • Quake Grenades don't have bounce sounds.
  • One of the sprites of the Doom 2 Super Shotgun's firing animation cuts off on the left, as with the original game. I remember Revenant100 making a sprite fix pack for Doom that addresses this cut-off.
  • SS2 Rocket Launcher projectile does only 100 total damage (50 direct, 50 splash).
  • Firing the SS2 Rocket Launcher straight down makes the rocket go through the floor.
  • A lot of the weapons are placed in the wrong slots, such as SS2 autoshotgun taking priority over the SS2 Double Shotgun.

As I see it coming, the Doom 4 weapons should be there. Maybe the Unreal Tournament ones, too.

hell put all of em, unreal, half life, doom 2016, turok weapons, halo weapons even lol

Personally, I would rather. him fix the issues with the current weapons rather than add new ones.
ever try and collect serious Damage with the Doom 2 weapons? LOL its a huge lava texture that even coveres the alpha layer.

this seems like its gonna be a recurring theme, people will keep making suggestions before the current ones are polished xD

I'm just greatfull a thing like this even exsists!

Quake 4 weapons are essentially done, all they need is to be ported over iirc I seen them on the origional HD work shop lol

When exactly are they coming coming out? Because i would love to mow down Kamikazes with the nailgun.

I'm not exactly sure, Noam 2000 origionally made the weapons over on the TSE HD Work shop.
although those were straight up weapon replacements. so I imagine he if he were interested might have to tweak quite a bit of code.

While Noam is still fixing this, I bet he can port the weapons from Doom 2016, Bulletstorm, and maybe the mediocre Duke Nuke Forever. They do have mostly amazing designs.

The duke nukem forever animations that were origionally on Serious sam 3 were very... questionable at best.

Indeed, and while I certainly agree that it'd be nice to have even more weapons in here from some more classic games and maybe even some modern one, it'd also be nice to see the existing weapons get polished up and possibly be made alittle more accurate to the source material before more weapons get implemented. This pack is great regardless, gives a nice variety of weapons for use in maps or to change things up a bit in SP.

The thing is if you make the weapons more accurate to the soruce materiel you run the risk of them not being useful for the type of game serious sam is.
