"New Temperament Mechanic. Every single creature in Pyria now has a chance to be Feral, Docile, or Normal.
->Most High Tier creatures have extremely high chances to be Feral. If they are Feral, they cannot be tamed in any way, shape, or form, even with mods like Immersive Taming. Feral Creatures also get a boost to their damage, becoming more dangerous.
->If a creature is Feral, it can re-roll its chance to be Feral on Server Restart.
->If a creature is Docile, it can be passive tamed regardless of Species, and does not attack players unless provoked.
->Feral creatures can be pacified using Soothing Arrows, unlocked at lvl 40. Soothing works via amount of times hit, meaning an ascendant crossbow does the exact same amount of pacification progress as a primitive one.
-> Soothing Buff's internal counter much reach 100 in order to inflict Pacify, instantly turning any Feral or Untrusting Pyria creature into a standard wild one, making it tameable. You'll get a visual and auditory cue when pacification is successful.
->Every 10 seconds, the internal counter of Soothing goes down by one.
->Drag weight min is 75. Max is 1000. Anything above a drag weight of 1000 (I dont see much in pyria getting that big) or is exactly 1000 will only gain +1 per shot. Anything under 75 Drag Weight will be instantly pacified on the second hit.
->Rate of Pacification for anything under 1000 drag weight is (1000 / Target Drag weight) +1. So even a rex sized creature (550) gains 2.8 Pacification per shot. Orthros in another example is 250 drag weight.
(1000/250) +1 = 5 Pacification per shot.
(I scaled it like this so low-tier creatures are much faster to pacify. Hope it works well for folks!)"
So yes, being unable to just tranq tame creatures from Pyria in the usual brain dead ark methods is intended.
Soothing Arrows are not converting Feral to something tamable, no matter how many arrows put in the target, nor how long waited. BUG? Or is the conversion a random chance?
Also yes, Hailfire cannot level movement speed in any form. No flier in the mod can. This is intentional.
They aren't feral, but aren't docile, either so it would seem a soothe arrow would just piss em off.
Okay, thanks. We changed methods and it did eventually work.
The complaint feedback from everyone was -- The Pacify timer should show-up on the dino only once the target reaches enough pacify arrow damage to pacify it, then show pacify progression countdown timer on the dino to its conversion. Hope I worded that in a way that makes sense. They were all confused seeing Pacify and an active timer long before it achieves the # of soothing arrows to start conversion. It made more sense to have to hit target with X number of soothing arrows and then once it reaches the needed number of soothing arrows for that target -- to THEN show Pacification on target and start Pacify countdown timer.
AWESOME D&D style fantasy MOD though!!! This was seriously needed for the game. Works especially well when paired with the Castles, Keeps & Forts (Remastered) MOD too.
QUESTION/CLARIFICATION:
Does the need for a ORC Smithy -- mean you just need a tamed ORC (which acts as a smithy)?
Think what happens when you turn a bee queen into a structure.
You can do that with orc fighters, gelragarians who wield hammers, civilian mermaids (ones without weapons), and both gendered centaurs
I have some problem about taming
when I taming the centaurs and divine archer
I can't give them any food.just show me "does not want to be tamed right now"
Ditto, same issue
