Instead of crit chance, maybe +50% more accurate?
If you play on servers without random crits, this weapon loses half of it's perks.

Basically, an Ambassador for the engineer.

That's a bit too, um overpowered

Base the stats around the revolver, not the pistol

You know I've really thought about it more, what if instead of adding this they just made the ambassador equippable for the engineer? Don't ponder on whether or not that would be viable, just imagine how that would be.

yeah no +50% crit chance and +100% damage dont do good
Chocoroom 29 Jul, 2017 @ 3:45pm
My take on it,

- 10% damage
- 15 - 25 faster firing speed
On hit: de-cloaks a spy/removes disguise

-50% shots in a clip

-50% slower fire rate

+500% more damage

-100% slower fire rate

+500% damage is a bit... overpowered
If I remember correctly, the stock pistol deals 20 damage without damage falloff, and it deals at least 4 or 5 long range. Sooooo 100 damage up close and 25 or 20 damage from far away. Def not.
EVIL Quinnz 29 Jul, 2017 @ 7:26pm
why would the revolver have 9 bullets
SsTary 29 Jul, 2017 @ 8:05pm
Just think a whole team of engies using this weapon.:steamfacepalm:

No. The stock pistol deals 15 damage, and your math is wrong. With the +500% damage bonus, a single shot at close range would deal 135 damage, far more than enough to take out a light class in 1 hit. A single shot at medium range would deal 90 damage, which would be enough to take out all classes but Soldier, Demoman with Ali Baba's Wee Booties or an Eyelander with 3+ heads, and Heavy. Long-range shots would deal 45 damage, which is still enough damage to rival the stock revolver at close-to-mid-range.
I really don't see the point of this weapon with the stats people are giving to it. People are trying to make it like the stock revolver. If Valve really wanted to, Valve would just make the stock revolver or the amby equippable to Engie.

This thing resembles the Ambassador way too much. Specifically the Australium version. The only differences are the size of the barrel, the design on the side (a charging bull rather than a reclining woman) the sheen of the gold (it's a bit more matte here), and the grip (this thing's grip appears to be made from leather or a synthetic material with some metal screws sticking out, the Amby's is a sort of wood)

Anyway, here's my stats suggestion. I'm open to criticism.
(Stats are based on the stock revolver for spy)
(+)Stores "Revenge" mini-crits upon the death of your sentry. Amount of revenge mini-crits depends on the amount of kills/points your sentry obtained.
(-)No random critical hits

How about instead of storing revenge mini crits, it would store teleport points aquired from supporting the team with teles? Most engineers that play in offence or defense forget to put a teleporter exit to help the team defend or attack much faster
