Anti Sapper or anti spy!
this could be a building that detects spys or istantly removes sappers,so u would have to sapp this first before the sentry, but it would have to have a range,it could reveal cloaked spys in that area or instatly remove sapper i dont know tell me what you think

I feel it has potential as an anti-spy measure but if it detects cloaked or disguised spys, it would be too hard for them to get a shot at the buildings

yeah maybe but it could just be a building that removes sappers from every building in its radius but itself

Maybe it could find disgused spys that have sapped it.

Would be OP.
An engineer team could just build them up beside each other.

maybe but i see it as a machine that would have to be sapped first before the other building in a radius

Definetely has potential as a spy radar type device.. Perhaps could beep like a sentry, but when a spy is within a certain vicinity....?

It should help reveal cloaked spies within range in a similar manner to what happens when a cloaked spy bumps into an enemy player - the cloak isn't dropped, but the outline becomes visible. It would allow allied Sentries to react to cloaked spies within its range. Detection is by line of sight and can be blocked by terrain and other buildings, so placement choice would be critical, or clever spies would still be able to sneak by. Disguised spies would be uneffected.

IF (and I do mean IF) it is also anti-sapper, then the anti-sapping effect would be at a lesser range than the spy detection, but would not be restricted to line of sight. However, it would have no effect sappers directly placed on the Rayzar itself.

As these are tactical advantages, the Rayzar should be considered to be a replacement for the dispenser, and thus the Rayzar would either give out reduced metal and health, or none at all.

thats a great idea^^^

It could be like those things from prototype and it starts beeping when a spy is near...
Maybe this can be used against certain projectiles, or make a forcefield? I think the spy detection is too op

A forcefield?Thats a good idea but we kinda already have the short circuit.

I'm not exactly convinced... Surely you could make it so that the detection range could only be twice or three times the healing range of a dispenser or something? And maybe give it really low health?

Needs to be unique... can't be like any build or wep that already exists...

Just my thoughts ;)
Or maybe it could have a laser-style tripwire... placed in a doorway... an alarm could sound if a spy was to break the field?

I can think of benefits such as in 2fort, when engies build in the intel?

Yeah, something like a low health dispenser that gives less health and metal butdetects spys.
