I tried to add an Aegisalt Pistol to my shuttle, and when I pressed confirm, my shuttle's pod disappeared, along with anything else I had on it.

I looked at the problem and it seems this was caused by the fact that the Aegisalt Pistol is a beam weapon, which is currently not supported in the mod. I have just pushed a small hotfix to remove the Aegisalt Pistol from the list of installable items. I may look at the implementation of beam weapons later but for now my main priority is removing bugs and creating a stable version.

Sorry this caused you to loose your shuttlecraft controller, but thank you for reporting this problem.

Where can I get the "Large Mechanical Crane" thing to build the workbench?
Phoenix Wolf 7 Aug, 2017 @ 7:12pm
I was messing around with this mod in single player with admin mode active and did some testing with Frackin Universe weapons. I noticed that guns that are charge-based (like FU's "Charge Blaster") experience the same issue as the bug stated by HyperFrieza with the Aegisalt Pistol (Shuttle pod disappearing), but most other gun-based weapons work fine with the occasional alteration to fire-rate or behavior. I was thinking of experimenting with staves and wands, but I decided against it since I figured that would not be supported due to not making much sense.

I'm not expecting any dedicated bugfixing related to Frackin Universe weaponry, but I figured I would let you know what I found while doing some testing.

hello, incredible start to this mod, btw. it looks like it could really go far and I love the different ship designs!

Unfortunately, attempting to modify my controller at all makes the interface no longer respond until i close it and my controller to disappear. I have the log file here[pastebin.com].

This is not really a bug report, but to awnser your question. The crane is a decorative item that can be created from a pixel printer if you have scanned it (for example at the outpost).

The mod mainly supports vanilla weaponry, or weaponry that is projectile based (so no weapons with special behavior, beamweaons, charge weapons etc.). Making this mod compatible with every modded weapon out there is not really doable for me right now, so I do greatly appreciate your testing efforts. I'll try however, to atleast find a way to prevent the loss of shuttle controllers when uncompatible weapons are installed. Maybe in the future more compatibility with other types of weapons can be added, but we're not in that stage right now.

I have taken a quick look at the log you've submitted, which I appreciate very much. I do have some questions regarding your problem. Is the problem persistant, or does it occur when you try to install a certain type of weapon? Does the problem reoccur even when creating a new shuttlecraft controller? Do you have the 'bugged' controller still in your inventory? If so, does the problem persist if you use the interface without that controller in your inventory?
Thanks in advance, and thank you for the bug report.

Shouldn't this be pinned?

Glad to be of help!

  • There were no attempts to install weapons
  • I'd tried to craft several of the liner-type models, but the problem was a constant.
  • I am able to create the controller, yes, but not edit it with the interface.
  • The controller disappears from my inventory entirely after trying to confirm upgrades on the station.

I've also made a gif of the bug in action, if it helps.[i.imgur.com]

I've had this happen to me once as well, in exactly the same situation. However, I do not believe I can fix this problem since I think it has something to do with the game lagging down at high speeds becouse it has to rapidly process alot of information (loading the world, running the shuttlescripts etc.) and some errors might occur if the game can't handle all of that. Atleast that is my theory. Best you can do when the game starts lagging is slow down a bit. Sadly I cannot fix this, but I do appreciate you reporting this.

I tried to replicate the problem you've shown in the gif but on my end everything works perfectly, so I have a bit of trouble figuring this out. Your log file did point me to a problem in the mod, one I wouldn't have found myself easily, that will be fixed in the next update. Sadly, I don't think that this error is related to the problem you've shown in the gif. I did see another error that is related to the vanilla vehiclecontroller scripts, which this mod uses does not modify. Maybe your problem is related to any mod you have installed that modifies the vanilla vehiclecontroller scripts but I am not certain of this.

Maybe try removing your (vehicle) mods and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then this mod isn't really the problem. If it does, I'll have to take another look at things.

the arm waving animation when occupying a seat in the passenger liner shuttle is not properly finished. also, do you plan on making rocket burst and homing rocket viable secondarys?
