Customizable Shuttlecraft
Defensive means (Updated) more complete system
this mod is nice, with a complete system that sound so RP.
But this is not i'll talk about, sometimes there's aggressive shuttle and hostile capital ship in orbit.
So that's why i'm asking if it's possible to make counter attack measure.

Powerplant system:
Some defense turret need powerplant for being operationnal. We can have 2 types of powerplant:
Powerplant: A normal powerplant giving energy for ALD turrets types. Relatively cheap to build and small sized.
Large Powerplant: A larger powerplant enough powerfull for HoLD turrets types who eating a lot of energy to function. Expensive material crafting needed and very large

ALD (Atmosphere Last Defense) Those type of defense is the only mean to get incoming hostile shuttlecraft who try to land without authorisation.

-LoTHM (Locked on Target Hive Missile) and SPHML (Self Propelled Hive Missile Launcher)
A small but powerfull missile launcher capable of dealing high damage. Need times for locking target, then the LoTM launch a hive of 10 small and fast missile. Automated only. The self propelled version have a gunner seat where the hostile shuttle must be locked and fire manually.

-ASG (anti shuttle gun) and SPASG (self propelled anti shuttle gun)
Sort of Flak turret make against incoming hostile shuttlecraft and dealing huge amount of damage by exploding near or at contact of the target (but slow projectile). It could be automated (like defense turret) or piloted by player/NPC. SPASG is a mobile version with a driver/gunner seat (could be piloted or gunned by NPC)

-DEAD system (it's from Bo3 I know)
Diriged Energy Air Defense is a anti shuttlecraft laser dealing little continuous damage against target trying to landing without autorisation. automated version only.
need 1 powerplant for being functionnal

HoLOD (High or Low Orbital Defense)Heavy and large defense turret synchronized with the shuttlecraft station control for giving order to turret (Order to leave/ Threat/ Destroy). It's by only this mean you could destroy flying object in orbit. Can't fire against shuttle already in the atmosphere.
We can't find those model of defense:

- HDEAD (Heavy Diriged Energy Air Defense) a MUCH bigger,heavier and deadlier DEAD firing huge laser. Could fire against roaming targeted shuttle in orbit or Capital ship; but need times for locking target

- ACSW (Anti-Capital Ship Warhead)
looks like a nuke missile, but designed to destroy capital ship in orbit around a planet or asteroid. Need time for locking and reaching the target (can be intercepted).
note: Capital ship could send shuttlecraft (especially Recon/Fighter frame) against incoming missile(s) for destroy it. Can only destroy capital ship

-GOC (Gauss Orbital Canon)
A huge bulky gauss canon is one of the most devastating and terrifying weapons, capable to destroy capital ship in one shoot. Immediate target locking, but need time for aiming and charging. Can only destroy capital ship.
need 2 powerplant for being functionnal
(for info it canon size is like a human Condor class ship. yes, this thing is very HUGE)

Orders system:
-Order to leave: order the targeted shuttle to leave. for capital ships, calling first their shuttle to coming back, then preparing warpping for leaving.
-Threat: threaten the targeted shuttle/capital ship to immediatly leave or they will be destroy (depend of the % of threat).During this time, HoLOD defense will locking and aiming the target and waiting order to fire (if not leaved, or just by pleasure if some want it). If denied request, HoLOD defense will shoot
Destroy: order to HoLOD available to immediatly destroy the target (lock, aim and fire)

% of threat: this percentage indicate the level of defense that a shuttle/capital ship could analize and only work for vehicle in orbit. A higher rate have more chance to affraid shuttlecraft and capital ship.
The calculation of the % work like a geometrical series (yay let's do some maths xD)
where A0= the initial % of the turret, R the imposed reduced % of A0 and N the number of turret, its sound like:
An = R^N x A0
Statistic of defense:
- HDEAD: 5%. additional weapon reduce the initial % by 3% (0.03^N x 5)
- ACSW: 9.5%. additional weapon reduce the initial % by 2.5% (0.025^N x 9.5)
- GOC: 15%. additional weapon reduce the initial % by 4% (0.04^N x 15)

ps: gunship and Corvette Class: hybrid class between shuttle and capital ship

i would like a massive corvet shuttle, maby it could replace the ship players use and it gets atacked sometimes and you need weapons to counter this.

I was thinking that I wanted better defenses than the normal Defense Turrets that actually do almost zero damage. Maybe something like the rebellion Planet Defender Ion Cannon. Or just Anti-Aircraft cannons.

or both. shield has to drop to fire the Ion Cannon, but the shield can withstand bombardment from a large fleet
