Rival/GYM Battles
When battling a Rival/GTM leader using the enhanced system of a 3v3 battle. Do you use the trainer bonuses and add that to the leaders pokemon's attack?

BTW, thanks a lot. Having a lot of fun playing this with friends.

Hello - Rules state "All Pokémon played by Rival Cards gain the Attack Bonus given on their Rival Card"

So yes, each of the 3 Pokémon will gain the bonus written on the Gym Leader's card based on their roll.

I also have another question.
Do players get to draw item cards after defeating gym leaders or random trainer battles?

I made up some house roles for Gym Battles to be harder but also more rewarding. About battling Leaders: They behave just as another trainer, a friend can control the Gym Leader.

Now let me explain some updates I made to 3V3 Battles ( You can even PVP 6V6 against friends or NPCs like Elite 4 who have min 6 mons, this will make battles way longer but it is a nice experience)

#1 Select your team of 3 mons before you reveal the Leader's
#2 Leader and Opponent Roll a D20 (Advantage Roll)
#3 Whover lost the advantage will select its mon first then the other player selects a mon
#4 Whoever won the Advantage attacks first:
-Balanced Battle Rules:
-Regular Effectiveness 1D10 to attack ( Add it to your Base Power)
-Super Effective 1D20
-4x Effective 2D20 and choose the better result
-Not Very effective 1D4
-Immune Do not roll a dice just use your Base Power for the Attack
-There is a possibility of a critical miss which wont let you use most of the items and it is an instant LOSS: If you roll a 1 with any kind of Effectiveness Dice. ( Is like when Ahs´s Charizard do not listen when he is ordered to attack)

#4.5 Both trainers may use their corresponding items.

#5 After whoever won the Advantage attacked, if there is a possibility that its opponent can win, he or she rolls for Attack (Use the corresponding Effectiveness Dice)

#6 After a Poke is defeated, both trainers roll to check Advantage again to see who will choose its pokemon first. Any trainer gets +2 to Adgantage per defeated pokemon ( This way there is more chance to have Advantage when you have less pokemon than your opponent)

Just keep doing this until there is a winner. The way we play it and stream everyweek is that a Leader gives 3 Item Cards when defeated so players do not spend too much time farming since 3V3 Battles, any Random NPC gives 2 or you can roll the Special Dice that is part of the addons. Also every city Heals all pokemon and gives you at least 1 Item. And you get 1 extra item per Elite 4 you defeat.

EXTRA BATTLE RULES (If there is no description let me know if youre interested to write it down, I just dont want to write all and be ignored xP ):

-STAMINA COUNTERS:
Every Attack round a Pokemon gains a Stamina Counter which decreases regular power -1 per counter. This Emulates PP as in Regular Pokemon Games and Emulates HP as in Pokemon GO ( If you fight with the same Pokemon it gets weake and weaker ) You remouve the Stamina Counters when a battle ends.

-FRIENDSHIP BONUS:
Needed in order to MEGA EVOLVE ( If you have the card too of course) It also adds +1 to your pokemon Base Power and this bonus is removed if you trade or force trade your pokemon.

FBonus is gained right away when you win a battle against a pokemon. When your Pokemon is Friendly towards you it unlocks a second or third attack that matches with its type.


-EVOLUTION TROUGH BATTLE & EVO POWER BALANCED
I removed Evolution through catching on my gameplay and now when a Pokemon wins a fight against a mon of its own color or better it will evolve at the end of the Trainer Battle if it was not knocked out. Based on VG evolution. (Pink>Green>Blue>Red>Yellow>MEGA AND DYNAMAX COUNT AS RED)

Get +1 EVO Bonus when you evolved your own Pokemon, per Stage. Remove the EVO Bonus to a pokemon that was Forced traded.

For Example if you get a Pichu and Evolve it to Pika and then to Raichu, your Raichu will have a +2 to its Base Power and +1 because of Friendship Bonus-

If it gets Traded its Friendship Bonus is lost but if it is Forced Traded EVO Bonus is completely gone, Friendship Bonus is removed but it can be gained again.

-GENDER ROL
Dont use this on any mon you catch unless you want but for example: Ralts will need it to determine its evolution.

-TABLETOP BASE POWER BASED ON VIDEOGAME BASE POWER
---VGBP= TTBP--
100-200= 3
201-284= 4
285-399= 5
400-499= 6
500-569= 7
570-669= 8
670-700= 9
701+= 10

Also check power for MEGAS ( Only change the power of the pokemon you are using dont tray to update the whole 1238719387 pokemon. I would like to do it but I dont know how to modify the tokens)

-STAB:
Attacks that are not your type have -1 Base Power.


-DOUBLE BATTLES (Tried with a 6 player campaign and worked perfectly well-not all batles are double)

-STATUS EFFECTS (Ive tried this one myself and works completely fine, probably next month I will try it with a 6 player campaign)

-POKEBALLS UPDATE:
Every Player gets 5 Pokeball Items when they start they adventure (Based on main VG)
POKEBALL: +1--1 to Catch
GREATBALL:+1,+2,-2,-1
ULTRABALL:+1,+2,+3,-3,-1,-2 to Catch
If you roll a natural whatever # a wild pokemon needs to be caught you just catch it but if you already used any ball it is gone.

-STAY IN A CITY:
You can just stay un any city to use its effects at least 1 extra turn, after that you have to leave at least 1 turn.

-EXTRA CHANCE TO CAPTURE:
If you failed catching a mon, you can stay and try again on your next turn, if you fail again you have to move at least 1 extra turn.

-POKEMON MIGRATION:
After players reveal AND / OR catch half pokemon in a color series, shuffle them back andd add new mons to that color. (Hey! That gyarados you want so much wont stay in the same place! )

-DITTO:
Optionally Copies its opponent's pokemon, base power and Attacks. You can only Transform once per battle so use it Wisely.

-CASTFORM:
Optionally transforms its type to the weather of your place =))

-DYNAMAX:
If you use this rule from the Galar Set you will notice that you can only GIGANTAMAX your mons well with the same card you can DYNAMAX any pokemon you have if you want just add +3 to its power.

Dynamax and Gigantamax have a limit of 3 Battle Rounds, after that, your pokemon goes back to its normal Base Power.

You can ONLY DYNA or GIGANTAMAX 1 Pokemon during Battle and just as you can only MEGA 1 Pokemon during battle.

You can DYNA or GIGANTAMAX 1 Poke and also MEGA EVOLVE another but you cannot make your MEGA Pokemon grow giant...that would be too much power and it would explode and die. =P That wont happen but yeah, it would be just too much power.


You dont have to use all this rules at one, try them little by little and you will love the result =) Any questions man Im around

I got few more rules to TRAVEL WITH ALL YOUR POKEMON TO ANOTHER REGION wich lets you do that but unlocks any pokemon color depending on the number of Leaders you defeat so you dont over power the first gyms.

And a limit to Farm Items like how many Items and Pokemon you must have so you have to challenge a Gym. This prevents some players who just want to catch pokemon and farm items the whole game.

Yes. Drawing 2 item cards occurs whenever a player wins a trainer battle, all encounters are classified as trainer battles as technically anyone who has Pokemon is a Pokémon trainer.
