My first impulse was that this was somewhere in new york state or Pennsylvania, but I'm not 100% sure, it could be somewhere in Minnesota or Illinois, but i don't have good enough knowledge of the architecture and geology of the area. perhaps even new England. Any thoughts? I'm not sure where the author is from.
