What is the posibility of making proximity detonation of munitions in space engineers currently?
Is it possible? If so can that detonation actually produce flak or at least a similar effect using random veriables to generate a somewhat random amount of damage to targets within the radius on a per shell basis?

Ooh ya.. and the suggestion.... flak capable of taking out missiles RELIABLY!
I say this as currently there is no reliable way to counter missiles launched at ranges closer then 500m, even those methods fail a good 70% of the time due to target overload.

To many missiles overloads the targeting AI and you end up with some turrets shooting at missiles that have already missed you, allowing others to slip past your fireing salution with ease, the issue is once this occures it becomes nearly impossible to corret and will continue until the end of the engagement.

I think it is not possbile to make proximity fuze in space engineers currently.

But, anti-aircraft gun and anti-aircraft rocket can be make.

They can bump the aircraft and cause it to roll.(Aircraft will recover if their thrusters still exist).

Counter missiles closer then 500m is impossible, but counter missile at ranges 800m is impossible . (see video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmHYV_C51WI )

As you can see, it push the gatling gun to their limit. (fire 3000 round per min)

(ps There are no conveyor system on that turret. I think it is overpower if it has a conveyor system.)

It is more effective if the turret have longer AI range.

The problem relate to AI overload, I really don't have solution.

My idea is build a air defense zone with different turret. (long range and short range turrets)
