Star Wars Lightsabers
Katana Lightsabers is now also a thing.

I always loved the idea of having a lightsaber katana, so I decided to add that one as well.
I was pleased with the result and decided to share it with you guys.

Good job, but have you tried asking the owner to use this? I mean, if you unpacked the mod and implemented this yourself, then why not join the development team? Your're obviously a natural.

Wait... I think I thought of it.

If you were to somehow make a new category of blades, just like the blade1, blade2, blade3 etc. or quillon1, quillon2, quillon3 etc., you could replace the model shape. Is this how you did it? (I'm so proud of myself for thinking of this.)
Unfortunately, no. It was a combination of a custom texture and modifying the mod to have allow for a selectable option to overwrite the normal texture.

That's all there is to it.
Oh wait, you guessed the replace part.

Do you think creating a new category of blade could be possible and could work?
I don't see categories working as of now. It would require a complete overhaul of how it works now.

Okay, thank you very much. Again, I'll look into it. And I just finished that model, it's the darksaber hilt, hence why I wanted to know how to make this shape.
Not quite a complete you just need to change how the rendering or the GetSaberPos just a bit
