The books are pretty wrong grammatically. I'm no English language expert, but I'll do my best to put it down a bit better, even changing some phrasing. I'll be writing the whole book here so you can copy-paste it easier. I did notice "Matterhorn" being used once, was that meant to be "Matterborn" or an organization name "Matterhorn"? I left it in for now, it's in the answer of the first question.
Did you really mean "meme based" in 3rd answer?
Also, are the sentences supposed to sound a bit "weird" and technical? Or should some of these be changed to something more... elegant? Like "Please go away from the Indix now" to "Please do not keep bothering the Indix":

Indix Pocket Guide for Matterborns

Written by Esari, the prime collector

- This guide is written in case you are bothered by Matterborns.
If Matterborns are bothering you, ask them not to disturb you after sending them this guide's data.
If Matterborns are still annoying you after this then act in accordance with the standard rules of engagement.

Hello, Matterborn! We are fully aware of your curiosity, and the following guide has been written to meet your curiosity about Indix.
The following guide is organized according to the frequency of the questions(descending order).
Now leave the Indix who gave you this guide, and go.

1. Who are the Indix?

Indix are a data-based race originating from 'the vault' at the coordinates --- (the coordinate data has been deleted after an unknown Matterhorn fleet unsuccessfully attempted to access the vault without authorization).
Unlike you, Matterborns, we are not born from this material world.
Our body is made up of a fabric of weaved reality data, and unlike you, we do not eat, breathe, or otherwise metabolize.

2. Are Indix dangerous?

It depends on your behaviour.
We are mostly harmless. We have no intention of harming your property, you, nor anything else you value. In fact, we do not care about them at all. As you can see, we rarely perform hostile actions.
But do not get us wrong - it does not mean we are pacifists. Attempting to damage our material body, taking our property without permission, or, above all, ignoring our warnings and constantly bothering us can lead to an extreme response.
Keep in mind, it will be extreme.

3. How do Indix breed?

We do not.
I do not know why you keep asking, but I will explain this matter.
Unlike you, Matterborns, we do not exchange genetic material with eachother. We are not based on genes like you.
We are meme based, data species. The personality composer of the vault's Central Arrangement System combines various personality elements it has stored in order to create us.
Are you satisfied, Matterborn?

4. About your face...

In fact, we do not need a face. But you needed it. So we made one. You're welcome.

5. What is the vault?

The vault can be described as a massive data storage planet from a Matterborn's point of view.
From our point of view, however, the vault is everything. It is our home, cradle, and grave.
Inside the vault there is a world we live in. We were born from the vault and will die in the vault. Everything in the vault is organized and perfect, and there is no place for chaos. There is a perfection that you will never feel in your material world.

6. What is the purpose of your travels?

Can I tell you one thing? We don't want to.
We prefer to live in a cozy and organized vault. But the integrity of the bolt is not maintained by itself. Someone has to go to the cold, scary outside world to repair the physical structure of the vault and maintain the data ecosystem's health.

I hope that all of your questions have been resolved.
Please go away from the Indix now. Thank you.

NOTE: I tried to keep your format as much as possible, despite the Apex section sounding extremely awkward. Also Floran and Glitch texts go beyond the page's limits.

Matterborn Pocket Guide for Indix

Written by Esari, the prime collector

- This guide is written for the collectors who are travelling in the material world.
I know it is clear that they are all repulsive and look similar to each other. Nonetheless, they are different from each other in their characteristics.
The following guide briefly goes over the characteristics and precautions of the major types of Matterborns. I wish you a safe material walk.

1. Human
They were (note: see the document 'Destruction of the Earth' in the annex) once the major race of this sector of the galaxy.
Due to their social structure that centered on their home planet, it can prove difficult to find them outside of Earth. Well, now that the Earth was destroyed it's just hard to find them.

Although they claim that they are mostly harmless, their broad personality spectrum can make it hard to predict their response.
Mostly the ones with purple carapace tend to be violent. Prepare for a combat situation when you make contact with them.

Note: Never mention their home planet.

2. Apex

Apex are a physically large, hairy human-like species (note: Never remind this to neither humans nor Apex).
They have a stronger muscle strength than humans and obsess over bananas (an elongated yellow plant which is mostly harmless until stepped on).

What is particularly noteworthy is their disgusting social system (if it can be called a social system).
This social system is so lackluster that it has degenerated into emphasizing only the responsibility of its citizens.
Majority of this species are subordinates to this social system, due to which hostility towards them can prove to be extremely dangerous.

Note: Never mention the inferiority of their social system, despite how difficult it may be.

3. Avian

Avians are a feathered (a kind of protein filament that usually covers the body of a flying Matterborn) species that can be characterized by a poor social system and cultural level, even by Matterborn standards.

They are following a childish worldview in which a strong entity named Kluex (that nobody has ever witnessed) exists in another dimension and controls all the variables of the material world. This entity will take their essence to another dimension when they die.
However, they believe very deeply in this worldview, so pointing out flaws of it will cause them to react in an extreme way.

Note 1: Do not deny the existence of this Kluex. You will be attacked.
Note 2: Do not ask for an explanation about Kluex. EVER. You will want to be attacked.

4. Floran

It is difficult to understand why this race would be classified as intelligent, but other Matterborns and Florans themselves are continuously claiming that they are an intelligent species.
Florans are a bipedal plant-like species that tend to live in groups. They act collectively to hunt other Matterborn and assimilate the technology and equipment they acquire from their prey into their own. It is however very doubtful that this is evidence of intellect.

First of all, if you contact them you must inform that your data-based body is not digestible by Florans.
It is enough to say that Indix can not be eaten. Cut one of your fingers if necessary, and they will quickly understand.
When they realise that we are inedible, their interest will fade immediately. If they do not cease hostile behaviour then it is recommended to use a combustion-based weapon (e.g . a flamethrower).
Their primary focus is on satiating their appetite and fulfilling their desire for reproduction. It is considered to be evidence of their inferior intelligence (considering that they really do possess intelligence).

Note: They tend to stab with sharp objects.

5. Glitch

The Glitch are a crude simulacrum of Matterborns, a horrible hybrid between the data and material world.

Their consciousness is based on their personal data space like us, but each consciousness is slave to the metal bodies of the individual units.
Actually, they have been created to simulate the form and behaviour of Matterborns. I hope those who have performed this abominable act pay for their deed.

Their consciousness parameters are limited from the base, so their social system is designed to stay at a certain level.
Because of this, the Glitch are dependent of their inferior social system like other Matterborns.
Their very sophisticated artificial bodies are also designed to mimic the function and structure of Matterborns.
This is undeniable evidence that their creator is a total scumbag.

Note: Do not attempt to summon their consciousness into your personal data space. It will make a really uncomfortable situation.

6. Hylotl

Hylotl are disgusting and slippery Matterborns. They think they are superior to others because they possess three visual organs. Ha.

Note: Annoying.

7. Novakid

Do not be fooled by their non-organic appearance. The Novakids are a species that have gathered all the prejudices we have about Matterborns together. They are a simple-minded species that can't see the bigger picture, and they have an extremely poor memory. At least it is fortunate that the revolting metabolism procedures we can see on other Matterborns can not be observed to be done by them.

Remember, it does not mean that being stupid means being less dangerous. Always keep in mind that they are skilled marksmen if you are in contact with a hostile Novakid.

Note: Remember, they have a really poor memory.

@Kezeal

Thank you for your help. First, the "Matterhron" is a nothing but a mistake by auto correction. I'll fix it. And yes, they are meme based, unlike gene based species like us. Well, and I'm not native speaker of the European languages. If you think they are weired, feel free to correct them.

I'm not sure how much creative freedom you will allow me to have, but if you want I can re-write it all.

(I had a few mistakes of my own, there's bound to be more as well, but this should be the final version~)

Naturally nervous and paranoid, the Indix are a vestige of an ancient time and were originally data backups of a forgotten race's brains. Thus, in the beggining, they were merely data, ones and zeros stored away for retrieval later within a massive data storage unit collectively refered to by the Indix as the “Vault”. However, after literal eons awaiting a master that would never return, the Vault's "Central Arrangement System" (CAS for short) ran diagnostics that discovered--though the artificial planet was extremely well-built--simply managing all of the stored data would not be enough to continue its original objective, to preserve its currently unconscious residents. At first, this started as simple data corruption, causing the loss of personality files. The Vault’s CAS responded to the situation by copying it's orginal data files and releasing them as matter in the physical world, the result being a humanoid form consting of entirely light and nearly invisble to the naked eye. Due to the personality corruption the first few generations weren't incredibly friendly, nor were they capable of interacting with physical matter. Over time, millions of generations continued to be formed. The remnants of a forgotten race had become an entirely new entity, seperate from its predecessors. The Indix were born.

Despite the CAS' new achievments during this period--namely the first Indixian body, composed of weaved data, small electro-magnetic fields and pure light energy bound together to form a humanoid shape (similar to their quote-on-quote relatives)--and of great technological advancment--normally refered to as the "revolution" by the Index as this is the time they associate with the birth of their race--the CAS still had not accomplished its goal. A new problem had arrisen, the physical structure of the Vault itself had begun to deteriorate, demanding more extreme solutions, projects and some serious construction. The Vault began to export nearly all its data which lead to many newly formed Indix that didn't have enough time to be simulated into the material world. To elaborate, the Indix were like any other intellegent race--they possed fear. Fear is one of the few emotions/feelings they kept. This caused the new Indix to be incredibly confused by their existence--very quickly. These few brave souls, code-named the “Collectors”, had been completely materialized, no longer limited to interacting through a network--though they are still rather translucent and composed of pure data. After designing their own spacecraft the Collectors were capable of leaving the Vault and venturing into deep space. Most would leave and soon return with frightening tales of what the universe was like outside of the Vault. Others would venture out only to return occasionally when they were needed because they enjoyed the simple frontier life. Some were still confused by their rather recent creation, constantly wondering what they actually were, they never returned in hopes of finding their true self among the stars.

Initially, the Indix themselves were a myth, passed between Novakids and some other races due to their natrually ghost-like apperance. The various species of the galaxy have responded to their possible presence in different ways, the most extreme being the Apex's attempts to capture and experiment with them. The Indix have all responded differently but the encounter normally with the Index ignoring them or simply running away, this is mostly due to the Indix having a lack of understanding and no formal language--in fact until the CAS implemented an actual voice modulator of any sort, they communicated in a near telepathic fashion. Of course, constant contact with other races brought about change in an Indixians way of life. Over time, Index grew to develop a strange fascination with the universe around them. Eventually some would even join the Earth's Protectorate Accedemy to become a Protector. Most of the earlier Collectors became bounty hunters or founded small Indixian colonies.

Indixes are usually considered an eccentric and antisocial race, largely due to their natural nervousness and the defensive or paranoid attitude of Collectors. Most Indix see the material world as pure chaos and enjoy their anti-social communities. Most feel extreme pressure and stress when in contact with others and generally avoid contact with living things. The few Indix who have become notorious throughout the universe are generally known for their cynical attitudes and twisted sense of humor.

You said Vault' and the singular possesive form of Vault is Vault's.
Drehtür 20 Feb, 2018 @ 8:56am
Is that still in there? I thought I added the S forever ago.
Keulron 20 Feb, 2018 @ 10:22am
Nah, just need to move the apostrophe. Or the s.
Drehtür 23 Feb, 2018 @ 10:35am
Are you talking about the actual mod page or the edit I already made... because if it’s on the mod page the edit is right above you. If not then I’ll have to look for it, maybe copy paste the section you’re talking about?
Keulron 23 Feb, 2018 @ 11:52am
I was talking about the section that syas "The Vault' CAS responded to the situation by copying it's original data files and creating it's own race, the result being a humanoid form consisting of entirely light and nearly invisible to the naked eye" and I must've forgotten something in my original.
Drehtür 23 Feb, 2018 @ 3:20pm
Yeah, I already have a corrected edit in this discussion, moderator hasn’t edited it yet. I’m sorry he hasn’t gotten to it. Feel free to check the edit for any more mistakes though.
