So yeah, even if it only had 2 keyframes, my game FPS goes to 5 and lower when I play the animation

would you happen to have "freeze all" disabled or "smooth playback" enabled? generally these can cause performance issues on playback

there won't happen to be a lot of things being rendered on the map, or some shadowed lamps used? would be quite weird if it just drops fps this hard on something like gm_construct. would it behave better with other addons disabled? though current version does indeed have quite crappy optimization on playback

Only around 20 addons enabled (ragdolls, maps and tools). Map is koth_toxic from TF2. But even with only SMH enabled on gm_flatgrass, it still lags.
I've found a work around tho. I record me sliding through the frames with the mouse and they'll look loke it's being played normally lol

strange that it behaves like that, as usually it should only drop fps when the animation gets more complex. could your pc be quite old? though if anything fault's more on the addon. you wouldn't happen to use higher tickrate? that can affect it too.

well, in either case, i did plan to work on playback performance in the future, though i think it'd be a minimum a year or so until i'd get something done about it along with whatever features i'd like to add

pc is quite old but it can still run some heavy games (red dead redemption 2, far cry 6, etc)
btw since you talked aout new features, can you make that we can select multiple/all keyframes at once? that's the only thing that bothers me a little because your mod is amazing <3

you already can do that, but that requires you to hold shift and select first and last keyframes, kind of like multi select on windows work. and you can hold ctrl to select separate keyframes, though iirc copying multiple keyframes on top of each other can mess stuff up badly from time to time

would you happen to use some other button for sprinting? as it is bound to whatever key does the action, rather than any specific key. i was thinking to have some separate smh control binds in the future, perhaps for such "modifier" keys too

hm, strange. you did happen to press and release keyframes while holding shift? i recall it could be that unselecting keyframes was set to releasing left mouse button when neither shift or ctrl are held down, so perhaps that could be the reason why it didn't work?

still having the fps drops tho (no addons except SMH), but since i can use that workaround of recording me sliding through keyframes, i'm not that bothered
