robojumper mod does not increase my squad size. I am desperate, help! what is wrong?

the mod does not work for me. I amend the ini file or change it with MCM / I still always get 4 soldiers. Can any one help? Is there any known mod interfering? or is there any other alternative solution to get more soldiers? thanks
