How to Spectate a Nuclear explosion?
Title basically says everything. They way i did it was having 2 colonists spot and then escape the map once the missile is on its way. Whenever i tried to hide them in the corner of the map and have the blast in the opposite corner, they still got evaporated (RIP cheeta24 and cheeta25).
Is there a way to watch the spectacle without having colonists there? For example have the missile act as a pawn and load/generate the tile once it arrives. The blast itself is super cool but i dont want to have to sacrifice 1 pawn to watch it D:

maybe, i have it patched to keep the map open after the explosion even if all of your pawns die, but not looking into forcing it to generate so you can spectate the blast, i'll look into it for the next patch, i'll have to put in an option to spectate though because you wouldn't want 30 maps all spawning just to mass nuke bases

maybe you could implement a special armor that lets you withstand the explosion without injuries. would be very unrealistic and just a crude workaround though.

since i have your attention here just a few honoring works. your mod is really amazing in terms of depth, balance and fun. i actually had the feeling that i learned something about nuclear reactors this way. my rimatomics playthrough is longest ive ever had and i am really grateful for all the time and effort you invested into it <3

ha thanks, im doing an update now and im adding a few bits to missiles so i'll see if i can hack it

how I did that once, I had a mod that had me brain staple a prisoner...I had him deliver a load of chocolates back to his home base, he was really happy to activate the distributor

You can make another colony, and send your colonist there.
