Welcome the the 5th Metaladon's Models Contest!



The Contest:

Take one of Magnum's old models, and add some much-needed detail to it!

Take a picture the car of it and post it on this thread. Make sure to privately send me the dupe as well!



Here's how the judging will go:

For every car on the list of allowed cars (see guidelines), a prize will be given out for the best-detailed version submitted. If no dupes are submitted for a car type, the prize will go unclaimed. See "The Rewards"

Submissions will be judged by Me, for a few qualities:

Do the details complement the car?
Is it realistic?
How creative/original?



The Rewards:

I will take the best details for certain cars, and merge them together into a single model that can be installed on that car as an "upgrade"!

Each catergory winner will receive 2 picks from my rolling stock inventory.

To the winner of the most "contested" catergory (the catergory with the most contenders),
I will award their pick of one of my PT2-installed locomotives, fully decked out! If there is a tie for most contested, I will decide an overall winner.



Guidelines/Rules:

Remember, this contest is ALL ABOUT the details! Don't sweat the color, textures, or other stuff, just focus on the details and props. Feel free to make it look pretty beyond the details, but you will not be judged on how good the cars looks, only how well detailed it is.

You are not allowed to edit the base model in any way! You're just adding details, not reshaping the whole car. With that in mind, you ARE allowed to make additions to the model, like extra braces, platforms, and even "rebuilds" like raising the ends of the gondolas or making extended woodchip hoppers. You are also allowed to use holograms for adding detail. So long as it doesn't edit the base model, it's fine.

Please don't put details on that already exist. Putting more grab irons where there's already grab irons on the model looks terrible! Find missing pieces that the model doesn't have.

You are allowed to use ANY in-game props. You can use your own previous projects, online dupes, and anything else. It is reccomended you credit the original builder if you used a dupe as a starting point. You are allowed to submit cars that were created before the contest.

If I don't get a dupe sent to me along with a post here by the deadline, the submission will not be included in the running. Make sure to send me the dupe before the deadline!

Dupes gained by this contest are still to be treated as PRIVATE. If you are found releasing one of these dupes, you will be disqualified from future contests.

You have from the time of posting (Aug 19th) to 4 weeks later (Sep 16th). The thread will be locked upon that deadline.
