Some Thoughts On RAW
This is my first major EAW: FOC mod since the steam version went on sale (I'd been on CDs until now.)

I chose it because it seemed like the simplest and easiest to learn of all the major mods. I didn't realize I was getting it immediatetly after a major update. Overall, I LOVE what I have seen so far with no major problem, working my way through my initial playthrough of Fall Of The Jedi as the Republic, though I do have a few critiques I wouldn't mind seeing fixed:

1) The Republic's space roster feels like its missing something between the group of Acclamator/Arquitens/Centax/Dreadnaught and the Venator. There is nothing there where the CIS has Recuscant and the DH-0 between the Munificent/Captor and the Providence. But there are a few ships in the game that could work. The reinforcements called in from space stations can call in Gladiator class Star Destroyers and I think they would fill that niche beautifully. I also think the Rothana Star Destroyer would be a great warship and could be a good match for the Bulwark and alternative to the Venator.

2) I like the idea that factories groundside give a garrison of multiple units but I feel like it has been overdone. My first ground attack on Foerost, after having an easy time clearing out space, was a punch in the teeth. I went in expecting a light ground presence and instead found myself up against the entirety of the CIS ground roster besides the Super Tank and Aerial Fortress while I only had access to the AT-RT and TX-130 and didn't have the numbers or firepower to compete. Don't completely blank this out or nerf it from existence but please do turn it down so that you don't have to fight an army twice as big as what you can land, especially early on.

3) I feel that this is almost a major issue. Every time I lose or retreat from a battle, the pop cap decreases. I started Fall Of The Jedi with a pop cap around 896. Now, after 27 weeks and plenty of victories and a few defeats, it is down to 855 and it drops further if I put in a raid. And nothing I do gets it back up. Not taking planets from the CIS. Not upgrading space stations and other such things. What's going on here? Or I am I just misunderstanding how pop cap works in this mod? This one I REALLY want clarification on.

Again, I would consider these minor critiques though the last is edging towards being a problem. I love this mod but please have a thought about these things I've noticed or tell me what I am doing wrong please. I also get that this version is basically brand new and being worked on.

1) I personally think the closest ship to that is the Victory, available at tech 5. The Gladiator is available from Rendili at tech 4.

2) Foerost's ground, as well as that of certain other worlds, is intentionally beefed up with free factories for the AI so that these worlds aren't an easy steamroll early on. Same goes for the Republic AI if you play as the CIS.

3) Population dynamics have been changed such that buildings and space stations now cost pop. This can be alleviated by building Farms and Orbital Pop Centers, as well as by prioritizing high-pop worlds for invasion if you don't have enough.
