Things not working, getting kicked off the server? Unfortunately I simply can not test every possible situation, so if you are experiencing difficulties then please provide me with more information.

The most valuable resource for me is the information contained in the "Launch.log" file.
For clients and single player configurations, this file can usually be found in the C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Logs\ directory.
For servers you can find this file in the ...\kf2server\KFGame\Logs directory.

The easiest way for me to see them is to paste the contents to pastebin[pastebin.com], then put the link(s) in a message in this discussion along with a description of what went wrong and possibly a screenshot or two.

Please note that a lot of the weapons in the workshop are flawed in one way or another such as:
  • missing localization, names and descriptions showing up as ?INT?...
  • missing textures, the items look grey and purple tiled.
  • missing animations, the item usually moves above the player's head when triggered.
  • missing models, the item is invisible or looks different to you or the other players.
  • missing sounds, you hear nothing when the weapon fires.
There is nothing TIM can do about any of that!
Gobbles was created to work around some of these issues wherever possible. And the best thing to do would be to report these issues to the person who made the weapon in question instead.

When I do that I get kicked from my server after a few seconds of joining. Actually, it's happening regardless of whether or not I delete those lines from the config file. I'm just trying to load your medic kriss alongside the reinforcement pack.

This means that your server has the weapon but for some reason the client doesn't. Probably steam workshop flakeyness... And as far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be any weapons commented out in the server's config.

I see my mistake. Now I've edited the config file, deleted all of the lines pertaining to the weapon mods I'm not subscribed to, and the error was resolved, but all GUNZ weapons appear in the trader under every single perk. I am not subscribed to GUNZ and AddNewWeaponsToConfig is set to false.

Your server may not be subscribed to GUNZ anymore, but it still has the files and they are still configured in the KFTIM.ini file apparently.

As far as them showing up under any perk, that is supposed to be a "feature" from what I've understood, nothing TIM can do about it, that's how the weapons were made.

From the looks of it everything seems to be working as intended. And I'm guessing that "WEP_1P_Dual_HiPower" probably got removed from one of the wepon packs since TIM was last updated.

Thank you for your help in interpreting this information. I didn't realize I needed to manually alter the server's config file, I was altering the config files in the mod's folder and game document folder. It's working perfectly now.

Hello. I made some edits of existing vanilla weapons for my server. I've noticed the vast majority of them do not grant me dosh on kill. Any idea why? Here is an example .UC I uploaded to pastebin

At a glance I don't see anything out of the ordinary in your paste. Then again I've been out of the modding-game for a while. My suggestion would be to take all the defaultproperties out, test it and then add only the settings you want to see changed, one by one, until it breaks again. That should give you some clues I hope.

The reason I've stopped modding is that I got tired of playing detective trying to figure out how to fix what TWI broke for the custom weapons, which they seem to enjoy doing just about every update of their supposedly "modding-friendly" game.

I'm having issues launching my server with TIM. For some reason, it's crashing the server when TIM is added and without TIM the server launches perfectly fine. Any idea what those errors at the bottom of the log are?
